How do I connect my LG TV to my dish network

Hello Al, my name is Cheri Torres and I work with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Connecting your LG TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your LG TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. I hope this information is useful and if you have further questions feel free to ask!

there are few reasons for it like signal missing or electronical defect on tv. please check cables for correct connection (example yellow RCA connector is for video etc). if you use terrestrial antenna check cable or even antenna, if satellite is used might receiver or dish problem which have to readjust.
anyway if you are sure the signal source is ok then your tv has better to be checked by a local electronics service
feel free to contact me here under your topic if further assistance is needed

I just purchased a new RCA 32 inch w/ DVD. When starting up it asks if you will use Cable or Air. I have Dish Satellite and picked air. I only get one channel and if I try to go up or down channels I get a...

You should not have had to choose cable or air. When you have satellite it is considered the same thing as cable. Air is over the air rabbit ears antenna free programming. When you are connecting a satellite receiver you only have to turn to channel 3 or pick the correct av, component or hdmi input. Oh you must be connecting more than one television to the same satellite receiver. When that is the case tv #2 usually has to be set on a different channel and the satellite tv company tells you which channel. You still use the satellite remote to change channels and leave this television on one channel at all times. This television is good enough for its own hd satellite receiver connected with component cables or an hdmi cable though in order for you to see its full potential for displaying hd programs.

Just set up new tv on dish network and eveything

It would be our pleasure to help get that fixed right away. The first thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on;although it may seem like an obvious step we don't want to overlook it. Checkwhat type of cable is used to connect your TV to the receiver. If you are usinga coax cable to connect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver's back panelfor the output name. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4 out": Tune TVto channel 3 or channel 4, if it is labeled "Home Distribution":Tune TV to channel 62 or 75. More than likely you are using a non-coax (RCA,Component, or HDMI) cable to connect receiver to TV1, in this case we want tocycle through the inputs of your until picture appears; most TV's have a"TV/Video", "Input", or "Source" button either onthe front of the TV or on the remote. We also want to ensure that the TV andthe receiver are connected properly, visit this link to for more information: Once we havemade sure everything is connected properly, unplug receiver for 10 seconds thenplug it back in, this will reset the receiver. If we are still not getting apicture connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the same TV, usingthe same cable, on the same input/channel to see if it works. If you get apicture with the other component give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474) forsome additional troubleshooting. If it doesn't work with the other componentthen replace the cable that was used.

We hope these steps resolve the issue. We want to thank you for being a valuedDISH Network customer!

I'm not able to get a signal using the new digital receiver. i've tried getting a newer, more expensive one that would have better reception and it still doesnt even pick up a single channel. what do you...

Its not the receiver, its your antenna. Get a high Db antenna and your signal will greatly improve! Trust me when I say you get what you pay for, and yes it makes a huge difference! I recommend this one, I live where no one gets signals and I get all the channels! I even gave up my dish because I get over 12 channels! Its a tv top antenna too! Or you can get the ones that look like a dish and mount on your house! Its worth it.

Indoor antenna problem with Magnavox LCD TV Model 15MF605T/17

I have found most of these indoor antennae to be ineffective and a waste of money, however, I do not know anything about this particular antennae. I to have a Dish DTVpal, which I love! It's ugly and probably won't fit in your kitchen, but the best solution is to make your own "bow-tie" antennae, mount it indoors or on the roof and run a cable to the kitchen. Directions can be found on You-Tube. I live in SE Idaho (Pocatello) and can get 13 channels, most without having to adjust the antennae.

32" protron tv

an output like ( HDMI ) would be on a dish reciever , and a hdmi input on a tv would plug into that output on the dish reciever
Is HDMI what you are trying to connect? then you would need an HDMI cable
HDTV = High Definition television , which means that you have a built in digital tuner that will pick up the digital and high definition broadcast channels with an antenna connected to the tv
