Be sure that you have not "panned" the sound-output ("5% left-channel and 95% right-channel").

Can active speakers work with tv volume

Yes you can do this if you source your sound from the headphone source. If you uise the headphone source you will lose the TV sound since the headphones mutes the speakers. But if you choose to use to use the AV jacks then you don't mute the sound and you can still control the speakers supposing that you have a brand of Television that has got all these facilities. Or otherwise if this is not what you are asking for please send the details of the TV you are using.

the small speakers in the projector can't handle high volume, so the speakers may be shot.

No sound!!!

Check your computer sound volume. Make sure it is not muted or the volume is set low. Try the speaker into a music player like ipod or mp3 player that will support the speaker jack. See if it works..

My Dell Inspiron 6000 stopped playing sound. I uninstalled and reinstalled SigmaTel driver. This did not work.

Does it show that the device is working properly in the device manager? You could try and use system restore to roll back windows to a time when the sound was working. Windows may have updated software and caused problem with audio. If you roll back the system to a time when you know the sound was working then the on board audio may be defective. Have you tried plugging in headphones in the headphone jack and check if there is sound? Are the sound properties muted? The laptop speakers or internal amp may have stopped working also.

Hi,
you have a Acer Laptop. Your Sound driver may not be working properly or Mute the Sound. Your Speaker volume is low or speaker is not working properly.

Thanks

I would bypass the speakers from the projector and connect the audio output from the DVD to a sorround sound system or to computer speakers.

NO SOUND FROM SPEAKERS

HI Surthi
First thing came basic, check your speakers with other PC, and see if work correctly, then use the software control volume to see if not set to "mute" connect the speakers to the right slot in the sound card, sometimes according to the colors, usually green. see if you have installed the drivers for your sound card.
good luck!
