The stop/cancel button will stop the error code from beeping, but it appears the cable connection might need to be cleaned with contact cleaner.

Yes, you will need to press the stop/cancel button, this will clear the error code and the display.

F7 error code on GE oven

I had this code come up on a double wall oven once and I fixed it myself for $200 less by ordering the part and using Repair Clinic.com for step-by-step instructions. It still cost me $100 + for the part and $65 for a serviceperson to tell me what I already knew (the code was F7) and it seemed confusing at first but I did it! Make sure to turn the electric off first from the fuse box!

I have a GE Range model JBP85. I have an error code F7. It appears the clock key is stuck. Is there any way to unstick this or any other key? The key pad is expensive to replace.

Hi, Error F7 on your oven means that the keypad is shorted or stuck and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the Electronic Range control (ERC).

I have a 326B1230P001 GE Double oven that displays ?F7? and beeps?..have cut power to it to try to reset it but it comes back beeping and the display goes through different changes by itself?.what is wrong...

F7 stuck keypad
Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on.
Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

326B1230P001 GE Double oven that displays ?F7? and beeps

I have a GE JT950 double oven that just did the same thing: F7 and beeps like crazy. I found solution on another post: an engineer figured out how to solve the issue without calling GE or buying parts. I just did it tonight and it worked fine. Here is a copy of the post:

Send an e-mail to Charlie at hutchipop@yahoo.com for a fix-it that you can try. He explains a possible solution fully with his 'The Dreaded "F7" Error' solution. I actually found his information on another website when I did a web search for "GE Profile Oven F7 Issue". I sent an e-mail to him and he replied with free fix-it information. I am not a repair person myself, but, his instructions are very clear and simple to follow. I did the fix-it at no cost in approximately 10 minutes and it has solved my problem

F7 on the display with constant beeping

F7 for GE is either a stuck button on keypad or bad EOC. Try shutting breaker off 20-30mins and see if it resets itself.

After self clean, jtp15 panel does not work

This may be related to the F7 problem. The error does not always show up on the display. It typically develops after a self-clean cycle. Go to my solution at the following link:

I have shared this solution with over 1500 folks and most report success. Let me know if this works for you at:
