Then 'No signal' or 'unsupported signal' messages are usually because your display is set too high. To see if this is your issue, hoop it back up too your computer & set the computer to the basic VGA resolution. Assuming you are using windows, right click a blank area on the desktop, click 'properties' on the dropdown menu, click settings. Write down the numbers in the 'screen resolution' and 'color quality' boxes, then drag the 'screen resolution' all the way down to then 'less' side. Then change the 'color quality' to the lowest setting. Click apply, then answer yes (the display will look UGLY - don't worry!!) Now connect your computer back to your projector. If it works, then the resolution you use on your desktop monitor is not supported on your projector. Experiment with different resolutions to see which one looks best on your projector.

Note for Laptop users-- By default the VGA connector on your laptop is off. To turn it on, look for a blue symbol on one of your function (F1, F2, F3...) keys. It looks like an old TV with a line on both sides 'O' (F4 on HP) Press & hold the blue <fn> button (on the lower left of the keyboard, usually to the left of control <crtl>) and tap the bleu button you just found. Let go & give you

Toshiba 19HV10E won't turn on

More information is needed:
Are the power on?
Are the power cable lose on the back side?
Are the power cable plugged into a socket?
Are there any lights indicating that it receives power?
If you switch it off and then on on the monitor itself, without a connected computer turned on, do you see a logo from Toshiba and then some text indicating no signal is received?

Have you tried replacing the cable (sorry I have to ask). Make sure the Dell (model would be helpful) is sending the video out the video port (FN+F8 are the usual keys to press). Also try right click on your desktop and check your Graphics Options.

"No signal" even though connected to computer

You probably have to tell the laptop to send a video signal to an external display--(i.e. <altF4 or <altF8) The proper function key will have a TV screen symbol on it. Default mode is "laptop only" By pressing and holding the alt, then pressing the appropriate function key, the laptop will switch to the next mode, laptop/external display. The last mode is external display only. By pressing the sequence again, you'll return to "laptop only" mode.

reset the settings to factory default. when you plugged it into the 2nd computer, it searched for matching resolution, to no avail. when you put it back with yours, it was on the default setting.

if you're using antenna, (most likely)you need to adjust your antenna to where it picks up the best signal. The picture comes in clear with good audio and doesn't pixelate often.

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

* Off entirely.
* Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
* Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
* On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

Hope this helps.
