No prod.

First make sure connectors are have not been slightly removed?
ensure printer cable is located in bothj printer and rear of your poota?
Make sure power cables are all located.

Then if all checks are OK. The quickest ans is "Remove Printer Prog" then "Reinstall". if plug play, restart poota, let poota locate from auto load.
If not then reinstall from your printer setup disc?

Hope all is then fine.

Not communicating with computer

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My printer is giving me this error message "Batch

That's a batch error, more than likely due to a communication issue between the pc and the printer. If you reboot the printer, THEN reboot the pc you should clear that error.
This error sometimes occurs when the printer has been shut down whil logged into your software, which disables communications between pc and printer. The error indicates that the printer didn't receive enough data to properly print the batch of labels/tags.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/e8EeXn. Type your model number, select your operating system, download and execute the file.

Scan communication problems could also be due to firewall issues. Make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark software and printer communication processes in the program rules/permissions for your firewall.

If your printer won't print when you're making a copy using the Copy button on the operator panel, it could be due to your ink cartridges. Try to re-seat your ink cartridges into the printer and make sure they are properly seated.

When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Try to print again.
