I bought a DeWalt DG6000E that is missing a Shutoff Solenoid on the carb. I can get a replacement but it has two wires on the bottom that I cannot find a place to plug them in. Can you help please.

The after fire solenoid helps prevent backfire when the engine is turned off. You can operate the genset without the solenoid and likely it will shut off without issue.

You can easily test by removing the solenoid plunger or the tip of the plunger and reinstall the solenoid.

What causes generator not to turn on?

Much times there is an oil level protection activated between the motor ignition.
Or the oil level is to low or its damaged (little change but ?) disconnect it only for a short test period only after controlling when there is realy enough oil insite.
tankfilter nozzle float chamber airfilter , sparkplug , ignition coil , electric field. electronic voltage regulator , a cilinder valve problem and many more . on/off switch dirth .....

Gas in oil on dewalt generator

It's your carburetor. You'll have to clean it out, rebuild it, or buy a new one. The float pin is getting stuck so it's either the float or dirt inside. Make sure you turn the gas off after each use of your generator or it will eventually happen if there's dirt in the tank. Don't forget to change out the oil before you start it again or you'll have fireworks.

Runs for awhile shuts down and will restart but will run awhile and shut down

Check your oil, you have a low oil sensor on your unit and if the low oil sensor will shut the engine down,
