Question about Cameras

1 Answer

I was changing the batteries on my Fuji S1 pro camera and did not shut off the camera first. Now It won't turn on at all. I have put three sets of batteries in to make sure it wasn't a faulty battery.

I don't have an AC adapter. Being a professional camera I only have a cord to hook up to my laptop to transfer images.
any suggestions with not having the AC power cord?

    thanks,

Hi,

Check the batteries.

These camera's require Alkaline batteries too.

Connect camera to an AC adapter.

Remove all batteries, sd cards, disconnect AC adapter, wait a minute,

re-insert batteries and reconnect adapter. lay flat on the table.

Turn on the camera.

Using the mains power gives more power to the lens motor too,

Sit it on a table with ac mains in, turn on while flat on it's back, hopefully it will

Turn on and auto-focus for you.

You could blow the camera with "canned air" too, to release any particles on the camera

The smallest particle in the lens barrel, will jam up the lens and system to a stand still.

If problem persists, i am afraid, you need to seek professional on site or send the unit for repair.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I am getting a FEE error on a Fuji FinePix S1 Pro Digital, the 300mm lens seems to be connected correctly. please help thank you.

I don't know if you have a manual fir this camera so I'm giving you a "Google" search link for a manual in PDF format. It the fourth one down.

http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1303&bih=818&q=Fuji+S1+Pro+PDF+manual&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&fp=a5556ef3492e88b9

Okay, I've had several Fuji Pro cameras including the S5 Pro and these cameras had dual memory card slots it's listed in section 6 page 24 of this PDF manual

Okay what can happen and happened to me several times (didn't learn the first time) was that I had the camera set on the Compact Flash card and filled it up but the camera needs to be manual set for the next card it's not automatic. So I'm going to assume that the media card you are trying to write the new picture files to is full.

You can download the pictures and then format the car (in the camera) then continue or switch to the other card in the card slot. This camera used a Smart Media and a Compact Flash Card.

Cheers

Fuji s1, when I power up I get "Err" message on top LCD screen. Batteries are all freshly new.

"Err" message relates to the batteries.
If constantly lit, It's the AA batteries. When flashing, it's the lithium batteries. It can also be the tiny switch in the media door. Try activating it gently with a pointy object to see if the message disappears.

problem still persists after being sent to fuji they informed me repair costs would be £389 and thats it no breakdown of what the problem is just

FAULT

great service NOT.

so they think i would pay £389 for an 8 years old superseded many times s1 pro against the cost of fuji's latest s5 pro being less than £450.

Fuji FinePix S1 Pro Digital.

I strongly recommend you use a memory card reader to solve this problem.

The cause is likely a bad USB cable, USB port on the Camera, or low battery.

A USB memory card reader will work around any of those causes.

Hello guys fuji film s1 pro problem

From the Fuji S1 Manual:

F-- (Flashing) or (lit in M Mode)

Cause:
The lens mounted is not a Nikkor lens with built-in CPU or no lens is mounted on the camera.

Solution:
Use a Nikkor lens with built-in CPU (excluding IX Nikkor lenes). (Note that pictures can still be taken in M mode.)

EEE Error

3 reasons u get an "err" msg are

1. lens aperature not at smallest stop (f22 for example) turn aperture ring to smallest aperture setting or largest number

2. No memory card, or card not formatted or the magnetic latch of the memory card is sensitive try closing it firmly , or try changing memory card may it is damaged by force pullout.

3. weak batteries (4- AA and 2- CR123)try changing them.

4. Try changing or taking out lenses.

i hope something work out for u lemme know

Fuji Finepix S1 Pro fE E blinking when turned on?

Might Help:
Notes on G-type Nikkor and other CPU Nikkor lens
The G-type Nikkor lens has no aperture ring; aperture should be selected from camera body. Unlike other CPU Nikkor lenses, aperture does not need to be set to minimum (largest f-number). CPU Nikkor lenses other than G-type Nikkor lens have an aperture ring. Set the lens aperture to its minimum and lock. When the lens is not set to its minimum aperture setting and the power switch is turned on, "fEE" blinks in the control panel and viewfinder and the shutter cannot be released.

Camera shuts down when the flash is opened

the flash circuit of the camera is short. the moment you switch on the flash it drops the supply voltages of the battery. you have to show it to a repairer.
