Wall Oven - Connecting three wires to four

I am installing a replacement wall oven. My outlet has three wires (black, white and bare). The new oven has four wires (black, red, white and bare). The white and bare are taped together. What do I match up?

As long as the incoming power comes from the main power panel, then black to black/red to white these will be your 2 hot phases/the other white and 2 bare wires will be the neutral connection

I have white, black and ground out of wall, i have red, black, white and ground from oven, how do i connect

Unfortunately you can't. Your wall outlet is a 110V circuit (B-110V; W- common) and your oven needs 220V circuit to operate. Red - 110V; Black - 110V; White - Common.

You will need to installed a 220V, 30 AMP (10-3/w ground) homerun from your circuit breaker panel to the oven

I think I can help you but i am a bit confused with the panel box and the junction box. If you want to reply explain the circuit in a bit more detail from the switchboard where the fuse is to the back of the oven. It would also be a good idea to have a voltmeter or test lamps handy. Does the double pole breaker do the Active and Neutral or is it 2 phases going through the breaker. Did the wiring used to be for a full range and now there is only the new oven in its place.

It has a white wire, red wire, and bare wire but I on have 2 black wires and one bare wire for ground that comes out the wall.I don't know what hooks up with what

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

What is the model number so I can look up the installation procedures for THIS oven?

Usually for a 3 wire connection it will be connected as follows:
1 WALL black to the left terminal block terminal
The bare copper wire to the center terminal of the terminal block
2nd WALL black to the right terminal of the terminal block

See this picture link:
http://www.ask-the-electrician.com/images/RANGE%203-WIRE_CORD_CONNECTION_250.JPG

If you notice in the picture it shows a black red and white connection.

Red = black for your connetion 115VAC
White = bare wire neutral Ground
Black = 2nd black for your connection 115 VAC

When the power is connected properly and using the house wires as a reference if you are
reading it with a meter you would read EITHER black wire to the bare wire = 115 - 120VAC
Reading Black to Black = 230 - 240 VAC

If you still have questions feel free to respond here and I will gladly help you.
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Help with wiring for a drop in stove top

This is not to code. The white is neutral and is of the same polarity as a bare wire. The red and the black are considered hot and would be 220.

I need a wiring diagram to wire my oven to the house power. Whirlpool electric model# rb260pxyb

You will have 3 or possibly 4 wires coming out of the oven Red and Black go to the hot leads in the junction box.Usually red & black but could be 2 black. White goes to white Bare/green go to the white if no Bare/Green available. This is for a wall oven. If the stove is free standing and you want to attach a cord. Just buy the cord that matches the outlet in your house. Make sure it is a range cord and not a dryer cord. They are very similar. If a 3 conductor cord (most common) outer two terminals are the hot ones. There is a wire or metal strap between the frame of the range and the center (neutral )terminal . On a 3 conductor cord leave this connected. On a 4 conductor cord remove this wire and connect it to the green/bare wire in the cord. There may be a vacant terminal on the block for this purpose. If not use a wire nut.
