Thank you for your help. I bought my PC from another person and he had bought it from someone else. I think it's a 1998 model. It works just fine doing everything else it's suppose to do,just can't get the video and sound to sync.. I'll be looking for your help if you can find anything else. Again thanks for your time and effort. Steve

Hi Stev,

Chances are 99% that the issue is not your machine, but either the video itself, or your internet if you are watching from a place like Youtubes. One thing you can try doing is making sure no other programs are open. Since we don't know the specs of your machine, more ram may help. Reason is, if the ram if full, the data has to be swapped to your harddrive. Your Video card has it owns ram, to buffer with, but most sound cards don't have much ram, if any.

Hope that helps!

    Hi Stevo,

Did come research on the web. The E3100-33 was a P2, that came with 64 meg ram, and doesn't meet the minimum specs for XP. The heading for the problem lists a E2000. The E3110-333, from what I can find was limited to 128 meg ram, which is just barely enough to fire up XP.

Can you right click on My Computer>Properties and under the General tab, see how much ram you have. Should be the last line.

That should support XP and alllow a decent speed, Stevo. What are you using to view the videos? Are you watching online, like Youtubes, or some other source? If it is online, like Youtubes, and you are on dialup, that could be an issue. If you are on bigh speed, like broadband, we can move on. Are all videos like that, out of synch?

    Hi Stevo,,

I would guess that your PC is pushed pretty hard running XP. That is an older machine. Much as I dislike "solving" an issue this way, I would suggest you upgrade to a newer machine. Sorry I can be more help, but the info I found says the E3110-33 is a P2 machine, and may not have the power to work well with video. The only other suggestion I would have is to replace your video card, for one with more ram. You machine had 256 meg, 224 because you video card is using 32 meg. I am not sure upgrading your ram, and video card would solve the problem. Let me do some more checking around, with some elder geeks, and see if any of them have any idea.

Have problem with windows Xp pro.

You can get the correct drivers from the Gateway website. Use another computer and download all the Windows XP files for that model number from the website. You need your model number of your pc. Get the files for your motherboard, video, sound card, network card, etc. save them to a usb key or a burn them to a cd. Take the usb key/cd to the other system and load the drivers.

This will get your system back up and running in now time.

I hope this helps you.

I have a Gateway XP. WhenI try to get streaming Video and Audio it stops. I have a dial up conection. Please help. What am I doing wrong?

Dial-up connections cannot handle the bandwidth of streaming (live) video.

If you were trying to watch videos, say on YouTube, you could just hit 'pause' until the video is fully loaded, and then hit play.
