I have an Acer laptop, that has suddenly got a black screen, and I can't turn it off.

It should have a 12 month warranty, if it does contact Acer for a warranty return label..

At times the screen goes fuzzy and flickering is acer aspire 5732z .13 month old bought new

Two or three possible causes for this.First, the cable that runs between the motherboard and screen may be loose.Second, your "inverter" may be going bad,and third, the video chip on your motherboard may be poorly soldered or poorly seated in the socket.
You'll have to take it to a repair shop to find the exact cause of the problem.

Contact Acer on their WEB site to see if you can increase your warranty period. There is usually a charge to extend the warranty period.

My notebook keyboard does not work. I got a new notebook last month and the keyboard doesn't work. I went to the store where I got it and they said that it is not under warranty.

u r keyboard is likely to b defective or ur ram..
lightly strike/tap the keypad using ur hand..

if u r a professional, open the keyboard..deep clean all the carbon contacts beneath the keys using Iso-Propyl alcohol..put/stick 'Carbon-Dots' (available in cheap level spare market) as n where necessary..
hope it'll work..

better to seek professional supervision esp of ur system admin/vendor....

I was enquiring as to the status of a repair my laptop was sent to repair facility I still have not heard anything accept that they have it over a week now and I only had it for 3 months I think they...

If I was you I would call the acer company.Let them know your situation and yes if you've only had it a short time they should replace it.
I would try that and see what happens I had my laptop replaced no problem from acer.

ACER 4315 flickering screen (very bad)

  1. First since it is only 3 months old. Bring it back to where you purchase it so that you can avail of the warranty.
  2. If for any reason you cant do that then try the following
  • Turn off your laptop
  • remove the LCD bezel by removing the rubber and screws
  • try to reinsert the cable that attaches the monitor to the INVERTER. The inverter is the one lighting up the screen. Usually this is located at the bottom of the screen
  • if this doesnt work then try to remove the LCD panel and reinsert the flex cable located at the back and see what happens
NOTE: make sure when you remove cable and re inserting them in, your laptop should not be attached to ac or battery.

i hope i was able to help

Screen going black

Get a strong flashlight and shine in at at angle toward the screen.
If you can see the image, which you probably can, then your laptop's backlight is malfunctioning.

Since you've only had it for a month, check with the retailer or manufacturer to see if it is still under warranty. Hopefully it is and you can get it replaced.

But before you send it back, if it has a DVI, HDMI or VGA port on it (most likely it does, unless it's an ultra-slim model), connect a PC monitor to it and turn it on. You may have to press a certain key combination like Fn-F4 or Fn-F8 to switch between the laptop display and external display, but hopefully the screen will display on the external display.

From there you can use your laptop as necessary to back up any data that you need before you send it in for service.
