Daewoo DSL19v1WCD lost channels

Hi, I have a Daewoo DSL19v1WCD tv. Recently tried to retune the freeview but ended up losing all the channels including all the music and radio channel. I used to have 100's channels but now can only see 5 - BBC1, ITV 1 etc..
Please can someone tell me how to get the channels back?

Hi njvinod, yes i can see a cable plugged into a wall socket to the TV...assume that's what you mean?

Hi Ginko, thanks for your help. The way you explained abou the two tuners makes sense.

Do you know where I can download an owner's manual online?

Hi.

This TV has two tuners inside, a Digital tuner, and an Analog tuner.

The Digital tuner will allow you to see all freeview channels (about 80 in UK).
The analog tuner will display only 5 channels BBC1 and 2, ITV 1, Channel 4, Channel 5.

In your case, for some reason you are using the analog tuner rather than the digital tuner.

I posted this comment because I saw you were in trouble with experts.

You need to ensure that aerial is well plugged to digital tuner, and then to find settings on owner manual to access the digital tuner.
This is done using the Source button on the remote.

If that is not possible, then the digital tuner board worth about £80 has blown.

In that case call Daewoo at the number listed at the end of the owner manual, they are the only parts distributors.

Regards.

    Hi.

Keep pressing source on the remote until you reach DTV, that is the digital TV.

    Sources are;
TV SCART AV SVIDEO YPBPR PC HDMI DTV

Now you are in regular TV mode, you know old 5 channels stuff on analog.

I didn't find your model on Daewoo website.

you can download the DSL19V1WD that is similar, click here and scroll down the page, then click where it says instruction manual Download , at the bottom of the page.
Both models have same dual tuner and same features.

Go to Menu and find Auto Programing for Channels, Tell it to reprogram, let me know if this corrects it ! If this does not work you could have problem in signal board.

Ok more then likely you need to replace signal board Call Encompass Parts 1-800-638-3328 or Go to thier website online and another company you can try is UED 1-800-648-6657 they also have online website. And if you know the board number go to E-Bay they have some good deals on TV Parts sometimes I find Parts that I need cheaper there!

Hi,

There must br two tuner present in your TV,One for terrestrial signal & one for digital signal. If this is the case put the aerial into the digital input & try retuning....

If this doesnt work, it can happen due to the change in the dish orientation due to wind etc...Try changing the orientation of the dish manually, Just change the dish to small degrees and check whether you get all the channels..It has nothing to do with the TV and it should be with the dish or if you dont use the dish, it could be with the operator..

Please try the above solution, and leave me comment,if you ned further assistance
Thanks for using FixYa!
