Kyocera toner for the FS-C5015N is dry. If you have excess toner outside the developer use the cleaning cloth that comes with the toner kit.

Do not wipe the magnetic roller at the bottom of the developer. Along with the toner, the agent is on the roller. If the agent is removed the toner will fall out of the developer. There is agent in the toner container but not enough to replenish all of it if it has been wiped away.

Sharp copier Mx 5000N is doing continuous toner replenishment I changed toner cartridge drum developer still replenishment what do I do

Hi,
If the machine is still trying to add toner after the toner cartridge has been replaced & the developer is new then I would look at the toner supply motor for that particular colour. Also check for a blockage within the small tube between the toner cartridge & the developer unit. You could try swapping the toner supply motor with one of the other colour motors as they are all identical. If the fault switches to another colour then the motor is at fault.
You can also check the operation of the toner motor in simulation 10.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

Xerox Phaser 6110 Banding Cure

As usual, my Phaser 6110N (light use, home office network duty, printed less than 2000 pages in the 4 years or so I've had it) developed a banding issue. Rather than invest in a new toner unit, I decided to take it apart and have a look at it. What I discovered is the toner feed mechanism was clogging up and not distributing toner to the imaging drum.

This is a messy job, I did it in the bathtub (dry of course!), and it's simply a case of removing the side covers from the imaging unit (I'd recommend putting the drum in a thick black plastic bag to prevent overexposure) taking care not to lose any parts, and sliding the toner feeders out of the unit. You can then remove the top cover and it will allow you to clean out the mechanism with a small dry paintbrush.

Remove just enough to de-clog the mechanism, and especially the feed conveyor at the back - this takes toner from the cartridge and feeds to the roller screws that feed the imaging drum.

If you've only got banding problems with one colour, only de-clog that particular colour. It's messy and no point wasting expensive toner! Black and red where problems for me, in both cases the conveyor mechanism was chock full of toner and there was very little in the feeder roller screws.

Re-assemble the imaging unit and run a couple of test patterns through the printer. You'll probably find that the first few pages are especially faint - when you first power up the printer from new, it fills the feed mechanisms from the toner cartridge, I haven't found a way to make it do this again (maybe someone can hack together a maintainence firmware update?). The more you emptied from the feeder, the longer it'll take to even it up. Once it's got the page mostly covered, you're back in business.

After I'd done all this, my banding problem went away! Of course, the bath was covered in toner dust and it took a while to get rid of it all!

On a mfc j65 10DW the colour only prints in lines

do you mean there are lines in the color printing? this sounds like the unit may need to be cleaned and the color cartridge/ toner/developer unit (depending on technology used) may need replacement

Why is my printer printing faded colours

Hi Kath,
I expect you have it sorted by now.
I think you might have had one off the developer tanks stuck or broken. If the developer roller does not turn then the colour quickly fades along the page. If you tried to do a test page and that was good then there was nothing wrong with that side of things.
Good luck.

We are having a problems with Mp2000le,1600,1900...Toner Spilling..we replaced the whole development unit and developer.but still after a month or two with a minimal copy volume of 100 copies per day.toner...

Just to clarify... You have 3 machines with the same problem?? Or you are just saying the model segment??
Have you saw the toner supply unit?
That unit have Mylars to carry the toner to the development unit. You can open the toner supply unit and see if the Mylars are out of the place.

Ricoh Aficio 3800C: How do you clean the Development Unit Hello, I have a Ricoh Aficio 3800C. I noticed that there are faint Cyan streaks when I print. I opened up the printer/copier unit and looked at...

I believe what you are referring to is the drum inside the toner cartridge. The drums are usually very strong colors, blue or green and if it is streaking then the drum cleaning blade has failed on the inside and you need to replace the cartridge.

Gestetner 428 colour photocopier: background effect all over

It's possible it could be the transfer cleaning unit, but it's more likely to be the fuser or the transfer belt itself. If the hot roller is old or dirty or the press roller isn't providing enough tension, all of the toner might not be getting fused to the paper.

If only one color were showing mottling, it would probably be the developer, but it's unlikely that all four developers went bad at the same time.

Missing developer unit

Generally this printer can be separate into 4 major part: Printer body, Toner container, Developer unit and Drum unit. The developer unit is the unit where the toner container "mount" on it and it should be removed to allow cleaning task every time the toner container is replaced.
U may get this error message if the developer unit is not install properly after u replace a new toner container. Just lift the developer unit together with the toner container out of the printer and then insert back properly into the machine.

Ricoh CL 7000 error code SC 387

This Code relates to color gamma error in the Yellow development. Possible causes Low toner density in the Y toner,Toner supply Y mechanism problem( not supplying enough toner),Laser exposure problem, image transfer problem. My suggestion would be to ensure you have toner in the cartridge( but by this time it has depleted the developer), and you will need to replace the development unit and possibly the drum Unit. My best guess would be the development Unit.
