Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Update bios pavillion

The flash bios is available at hp.com and always run the utility, if available, with an OS that has no anti virus programme on it, otherwise it may screw up the new bios and the motherboard will never work again!

My hp pavillion dv1000 laptop fan doesnt work..

Hi,

Have to try to update the BIOS on your machine? usually that's what HP support do, you can download the BIOS driver to HP website. If happens that you already updated the BIOS and still the fan is not working, it means that the Hardware is faulty.

I have a hp pavilion dv9000t 17" Notebook Laptop

I seriously wouldnt be flashing/updating the BIOS unless you really have a need to. Some computers really dont like to work anymore after doing. If everything is working fine dont touch it. The only time ive ever upgraded BIOS is on older computers some of which wouldnt boot from CD or some wouldnt read large Hard Drives. Yours is quite a nice modern laptop dont touch it. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

Pavilion dv6628us bios update on battery power?

You cannot update your BIOS on battery power because if your battery dies while updating the BIOS, your PC will not function at all because the BIOS would be corrupt. So your PC won't take the chance of that happening.... smart PC..

Your PC doesn't recognize your A/C adapter?... then you either have a bad A/C adapter, or a bad charger port on your motherboard. either way you will have to buy one or the other in order to update your BIOS.

you shouldn't NEED to update your BIOS... u can live with an older version

When i start my hp pavilion dv6000 it reboot again and again.it give message (PXE-E61 media test failure, check cable) and another (PXE-MOF: exiting PXE ROM) plz solve my problem

The DV6000 series units come with SATA Hard Drives and are apted to go south now and then.!
Before replacing the HD I would clear the CMOS and check HD thru BIOS utility.
This utility will in most cases take about 1hr. if you have a standard size HD. Longer if larger, anyway, it will tell you before you start and if the dive fails, you will know soon enough. This sounds like a boot partition problem in your HD but you have 2, 1 in the front and 1 at the end, that may just be corrupt.
If you have not formated drive since you have purchased the unit, you may still be able to re-install from the restoration partition.
If not you will have to replace hard drive and install from restoration disks. HP offers these disks for the 6000 series units for about $15.00 US
You will have to update your BIOS if you have not done so already. You can check to verison by hitting F10 at first screen.
P.S. SATA drives are cheep enough about $60-85 depending upon size.
Take care Good Luck

Laptop screen

Hi,

When you see your screen pixelized, it may be a hardware issue, but before concluding it as a hardware related, I request you to try downloading and installing the latest video driver software and if you wish you can even update your computer with latest BIOS update from the concerned website.

After installation, please restart the computer as the changes made will be updated once you restart the computer.

If the issue persists even after installation of BIOS update and Display driver software for your computer, now it can be concluded that the issue is hardware related and your screen has to be replaced with a new one.

Thanks,
Sharath
