Question about Gaggia Paros Espresso Machine

Hi There, The grinder mechanism (although still working) has come loose and doesn't sit properly in the machine. Do we need to send this in for repair? Thanks Ian Mckenzie-Howard.

Hi, if you can see how it is held in place, would depend on you taking it in or you repairing it.I would think with a grinder, it would have to be sent out as they make them to where the grinding mechanism is permanent for safety reasons.I would take it down to a local appliance repair for an estimate. Good Luck,

Why is my grinder not grinding coffe beans?

Hi dkmfix,

Plz follow the following link:

  1. Make sure the grinder is plugged into a working 120V electrical outlet.
  2. If the unit is not working, the lid may not have the proper sealing contact with the grinding hopper pin. Please contact the Authorized Service Center or check you warranty information. Please follow the procedures for sending the unit to a service center.
Thanx

A Krups KM7005 coffee maker/grinder doesn't heat or drip water .

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, grinding works fine, but no heat on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem.

I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at KM7005@flightsystems.biz.

Grinder is not working

http://www.delonghi.com If your machine is still under warrenty they will tell you by numbers on the bottom. If you have receipt, even better. They will send you a new machine for shipping costs only. If machine is out of warrenty they will tell you where to get repaired. Very easy to deal with.

Saeco vienna Deluxe grinder doesn't work properly

Hi,

Try to open the steam knob and make a cup of water.
Make sure everything is in place.

One more thing you can try is:
open the door, take out the brewing unit, driptray and dregsbox.
Look in the machine and you will see three hole, one in the lower left corner, one in the middle above the driving shaft and one in the right upper corner.
Turn on the machine and put a screwdriver in each hole and see if the lights go off.

Hope this will help you.

Burr grinder GVX212

I had the same problem, took it all apart, separated the two halves, and looked into the guts of the machine, not an easy task. Fiddled with this and that, and looked at the back of the switch mechanism, and heard it making a 'click' when depressed, so put it all back together, to no avail...It turns out the grinder needs to have two limit switches engaged, one between the lid of the ground coffee hopper and the underside of the grinder hopper housing, and the other between the grinder lid and the base of the unit. This last limit switch was my problem, it seems the lid wasn't making contact with the limit switch, so the unit didn't run. I cleaned out the narrow gap that the grinder lid sits within, pressed the lid down until I heard a small 'click' , pressed the on switch, and presto! it works. You can see this very tiny switch if you take off the grinder lid, and look in the narrow gap it sits in at a position of about three o'clock ( the back of the machine when viewed from the top being 12 o'clock. Hope this helps anyone else who can't find their receipt within the one year warranty period. This is the best burr grinder I've found for the money, and I'm glad mine's still o.k.

Turn the knob back the other way, while the grinder is not running! This should free the burrs, if necessary then, dismantle, clean and replace.
If, when the upper burr is unlocked from the lower, the motor will still not run, you have done worse damage.
