Green light is not on. Monitor shows nothing but CPU is running. There are repeating beep every second when power up the computer. It sounds like the second hand of a time clock when it moves every second.

The cpu is running, the motherboard is with green light inside, but the monitor blanck

what king of monitor you have., crt or LCD, does the monitor led indicator has a green light, is there any beep when starting the cpu? how many beeps you have heard when the cpu was starting?.

if there is no led indicator light in you monitor the posibilities of that is the monitor was the problem.
solution: try to check your plug in monitor if it is properly inserted in the power plug or in the vga plug correctly.

if when you power the cpu and your monitor led indicator, turn green and back in the standby mode. listen to the beep sound of cpu if theres any.
solution: try eject the mem card. in the slot and clean the contact with the eraser. and put it back into the slot again after you clean it.

Dell Dimension E510 Wont Boot up. PSU is working 100% CPU is working 100% Ram is working 100% Disconnected all other hardware. No Power On Light. Light on Motherboard is green. Once you plug in the PSU...

Hi
With that scenario i would recommend you check the front panel assembly where the power button is located and also have you tried to reset the CMOS from the motherboard.

Intel D815EEA2 mobo won't boot - no clue to why not.

I know, this is a very frustrating situation...
Unfortunately, the only reasonable way to find out what's wrong is to swap components with a reference system, until you found the defective part. I hope you have another P3 system available to swap parts.

I would do it this way:
  • First check that the power button is connected correctly.
  • Swap the memory from the faulty system to the reference system.
  • If ok, put it back into the faulty system and connect the power supply from the reference system (or some other known good one) to the faulty system.
  • If this doensn't help, swap the CPU from the faulty system to the reference system.
  • If the CPU is ok, the motherboard seems to be defective.

Hooked up a monitor and im not getting any picture. i just purchased the computer second hand today. i tried a second working monitor and still no pic. any ideas?..

Assuming that your monitors are good, if nothing is shown on the monitor, that means it does not receive any signal from the computer (or CPU). When you bought it, did they show you the computer and monitor are in good working condition (that means Windows desk top screen comes up on the monitor if it is a PC). If everything was OK when they showed you, but when you took it home, it does not any more, then maybe something became loose while transportation.

Make sure that when you turn the computer on, you hear the fan on the power supply and inside the computer running, and there should be some lights in front of the computer . If you do not hear anything nor see any lights in front of the computer then that is the reason nothing comes up on monitor. If it is the case, you may want to remove the cover of the computer and physically inspect inside the computer to see if anything becomes loose while transportation.

Just some ideas for you to work on. Good luck!

Rplaced power unit now the monitor will not come up with anything on it. Orange light blinking on front of cpu.

Make sure your monitor is connected to the proper video connection- that is if you have a video card in your machine and a video connection on your motherboard. If you connected to the motherboard and you have a video card -your screen will show nothing even though you are powered up. Dont know your situation, but just checking. Ive seen others do this.

No Output to monitor, no beeps, fans all OK

Hi karanda,
The green led on the board shows green letting you know there is power to the borad.
Does your GFX card have dual outputs? Try plugging into the other output.
If your monitor light goes from green to amber than your PCI-E is not putting out signal. Pull & re-seat video card.
Did you check Asus to see if your CPU is supported & check what bios version you may need to run CPU?
Chcek here: Check what your M2M-E supports.
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Your board only supports these two CPU's
Phenom 9500 (HD9500WCJ4BGD),2.2GHz,95W,SocketAM2+,Quad-Core
&
Phenom 9600 (HD9600WCJ4BGD),2.3GHz,95W,SocketAM2+,Quad-Core

You need Bios version 0802 in order to run the above CPU's.

Good Luck & kind regards!
