Error Code 4001

System error code 4001 means "The local WINS cannot be deleted." This error code may also display as "ERROR_CAN_NOT_DEL_LOCAL_WINS" or as the value 0xFA1.

Error Code 4002

System error code 4002 means "The importation from the file failed." This error code may also display as "ERROR_STATIC_INIT" or as the value 0xFA2.

Error Code 4003

System error code 4003 means "The backup failed. Was a full backup done before?" This error code may also display as "ERROR_INC_BACKUP" or as the value 0xFA3.

Error Code 4004

System error code 4004 means "The backup failed. Check the directory to which you are backing the database." This error code may also display as "ERROR_FULL_BACKUP" or as the value 0xFA4.

Error Code 4005

System error code 4005 means "The name does not exist in the WINS database." This error code may also display as "ERROR_REC_NON_EXISTENT" or as the value 0xFA5.

Error Code 4006

System error code 4006 means "Replication with a nonconfigured partner is not allowed." This error code may also display as "ERROR_RPL_NOT_ALLOWED" or as the value 0xFA6.

Possible fault in the main controller unit. you need to confirm the power to the unit before it can be taken out and replaced.
remove power for few hours to reset before the test is done.

fo9 is e-prom set up error have you pull the plug out for ten minutes to reset ,if still not working the board and e-prom needs changing

Read through the information provided and check all the common sense things that you can easily eliminate, first. For more in-depth troubleshooting procedures, refer to the tech sheet that came with your washer. The tech sheet is located inside your appliance. To access, remove the lower toe panel under the door by removing the screws under the bottom front edge (you may have to prop the two front feet of the washer up for better access - a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel will drop down, then come off.

The tech sheet will either be located directly behind the toe panel, or affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls. The tech sheet includes troubleshooting tips, error code definitions, test points, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. You will need to use the tech sheet to accurately locate and perform some of the steps I have outlined.

replaced 680uf cap. in power panel, which cured original fault but when re-fitting panel the 12v supply to vcr shortet to chasis, set now o/k.

check the "Door Latch" circuitry

F09 means that it's running on the wrong power frequency.

Is this a model designed for a different country than the one you're using it in?

my whirlpool 6th sense will not start all lights and power i think that it is the door sensor at fault? The green light door locked light is not on.

I believe that this error message indicates that the heads are not spinning. The tape should be ejected. This unit requires a servicer. There are a number of reasons for the heads not spinning. Finding out the cause in your specific unit will require testing and measurements with test gear. There are no user serviceable parts inside these units.
