Question about Garden

1 Answer

I have an LTX 1050 and the caster on the front tires causes the tires to literally cut furrows in my turf now that it's wet. The front tires appear to almost ''roll to the sidewalls'' during left or right turns. My retailer has been absolutely no help at all. Is there any chance that there may be a new front axle assembly that would eliminate this short turn ''roll over'' issue that is totally unacceptable?

It sounds like the bearings in the wheels or frame have worn out due to lack of lubrication. Go to www.cubcadet.com.
You put in your model number in the unknown part search. It will show your model and the parts with diagrams. The bearings are plastic. You may be able to find some ball bearing but the manufacturer does not make them for this unit.
Good Day.

What causes front tire wear on inside & outside edges

Under inflation. When the tire doesn't have enough air pressure, the center tends to be pushed up from the road. Thus causing outer wear on both sides. alignment problems cause wear on one side or the other. Over inflation causes the center of the tire to wear .

I have a 2002 daewoo nubira cdx

Well without seeing it I don't know whats bent or not but your caster angle causes a pull since it is pulling right you need to add more caster to the right side or make the left side caster less.If it is the tires rotate left front to the right front and the right front to the left if it goes straight or pulls left its in the tires if it still goes right its in the alignment.
