Check the speaker resistance with an ohmmeter. If it is over 16 ohms, then you probably played it too loud and burned the speaker up.

If another speaker when connected doesn't sound, then wiring or the amp is bad.

Some people fry their amps by inadvertently damaging them when they jump start a car.

• Could be drive transistor , output transistor or both on the main amp.

But check for power supply and in the preamps also.

• A signal tracer will come in handy when troubleshooting these kind

of symptoms.

• Measure supply voltages,

• Check offset voltage

• Check idling current

Isolate , and trace afterwards.

• Schematic is really needed when there are burnt and unrecognizable

component. But one can use similar schematics to analyze circuit

problem.

I am going crazy trying to solve this problem with my jbl eon passive speakers which are about 10 years old. all of a sudden they sound like they have no bass and too much topp. i have to take the top...

Hopefully the bass control was turned way down. Check to see that it is where you want it ti be. Otherwise, it could be a component in your receiver that blew. Do you have a sub woofer connected to you unit? Or were you forcing bass thought your midrange speakers? JBL's are great speakers! I have them as well. Love them, best sound output next to Bose of course! But the Home Theter speaker are only mid range speakers. Check your bass speaker! It might be the problem. Check wires! Check connections! If still having problems, you might need to take it to a shop... Sorry I couldn't be any better help! Good luck Mad Maria.

Where could i find a chart where it shows how to wire an xb125 bass?

Is this the Washburn XB125 bass guitar?

Do you want to alter the controls, change pickups?
Is there a problem with the active pickups? Too much output?
What do you mean by "how to wire"?

Have you gone to www.Washburn.com and asked at customer service?

Subwoofer not working

Yea I would say most likely a loose wire going to the bass control, is it accessable to behind the controller easily? if so take a look. they are usually soldered, but it may have been a weak solder point that came loose.

Bass in Car Gone, i don't know why!!!

Does the amplifier power up? If so, then check the voltage at the outputs...sounds like the outputs fried. Also, check the RCA cable to make sure it is getting a signal to the amplifier.

Very low ouput from subwoofer preout

The problem was that some subwoofers (inluding my velodyne model) cannot process the LFE signals through the line level inputs on its amps, so the other way to run your subwoofer is to run the front left and right speaker outputs from your receiver to the speaker-level inputs on your sub, and then plug your front and left speakers into the soeaker level outputs on the sub. you have to set the onkyo receiver to "Subwoofer: No". that way the LFE signals are sent through the front speaker channels and you will get the same BASS output as if using the line-level input. O So yes it does require a bit more speaker cable, but it works fine now.

RX-V2090 Bass Output Problem

A couple things to check on the no bass problem:
1) Make sure your center speaker is set for normal, not large.
2) Make sure your speakers wires are in phase (+ conn. to + and - conn. to -).

Subwoofers unresponsive

Check the physical condition of subwoofer to make sure that the surround has not rotted out or been blown away. If ok, then using an ohm meter check for the nominal speaker voice coil resistance to make sure it is within spec. If both of these areas are good then you have destroyed the output stages of the amp(s) driving them. Every 3 db of bass boost doubles the output power. So if you are blasting along at 100 watts and you jack up bass by just 3 db the amp now has to put out 200 at those lower frequencies; go up by just 6 db and you are now talking 400 watts! And what does that do to an amp when you over drive it? You guessed it!
