well there should be two other ones just like it in the same area.
you need to replace the convergence ic (both) first

I have an old CRT TV made by RCA that shuts down immediately after turning it on.

Hi,

The resistor could be in line with a transistor or diode which may be blown. If you need a circuit diagram contact me with the tv model number.

fan motor is pulling to much power threw the resister, or a grounding issue, change the motor out. i am saying this under the asumption that by "broken" you mean burnt out, not phicicaly broke in peices.

Replaced resister pack, but still only have high on 2004 trailblazer

Check fuse #44 in rear fuse panel. Also did you inspect the connector that the resistor module attaches to? Sometimes the contacts or wires get burnt.

Maytag MDB7100AWB dishwasher board burnt resister

first of all they wont give you any specs on circuit boards for most appliances, they just want you to replace the board besides that,if a resistor burnt its because there was a heavy current draw on another component that is supplied by this resistor and you would need to locate this defective part such as a motor/solenoid/heater or the new resistor will end up in the same manner, the 2 oozing parts are probably capacitors leaking their die-electric compound from heat and age so they are in need of replacement too,you might go online and ask somebody with a board like yours for the part values, but still you need to find the main problem for the problem on the board first

Dead set. Smoke came over the TV.

The smoke is usually came from burnt resistor cause of short circuit or shorted parts inside..

Try to open the back cover of your TV and look at the resistor burnt..and replace it..also try to find shorted parts connected to burnt resistor or behind it..

The fan on the air conditioner on my 2003 Dodge Caravan goes off. I changed the relay switch which worked for a while. Now the fan is shutting off again. After a while it comes back on.

Hi Donna, I'm glad to help!

Donna, I'm not sure what you mean by relay switch, I'm assuming you mean the "Blower Relay" under the hood. In all my years working for Chrysler I can tell the biggest problem with the blower not working is usually the "Blower Resister". Here also is some things to check while replacing the part. When you unplug the connector at the resister look at it and make sure it is not burnt. If it is you'll need to replace it as well, the dealer has a new overlay wiring and connector you solder and heat shrink to the vehicle wiring. If it is not burnt then of course you just replace the resistor. One other thing to check out, is remove the connector for the "Blower Motor" and check to see if its burnt, if it is replace it in the same way you would the resister wiring and also replace the blower motor. If it is not burnt the your OK just trying the resister by itself and see what happens. I'm just down the road in Saint Peters, if you have any questions call me. I'm Allen 314-374-5218. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Donna.

BLACK SCREEN

you could be having some problems in the HT area. look for a burnt low value resister that is around the fly back transformer. the value of the resistor is marked by their color. so look and check the resisters that have gold on the third band of its color.
