Re: registration problem when using thicker board

Most likely if the tray has a lot of use the roller would have to be replaced. There are other possibilities. Does it do the same thing with standard weight paper? Have you tried using a different tray? What is the result?

Re: registration problem when using thicker board

You should be feeding heavy stock through the by pass tray. This provides the paper with a straight path through the machine. If you are ding this, then the paper pick up roller may need to be replaced. It may be slipping.

Colour misregistration mystery

Various possible causes - the most likely are :
1. Dirty registration sensors - remove IUs and transfer unit and inspect / clean sensors.
2. Damages / worn IU drive gears - inspect. Replacing the gears isn't a small job, if this is your problem.
3. Faulty colour registration shutter - you can check this is working in the service diagnostics menu.
4. EEPROM problem on the controller board - replace main controller board.
These are in order of likeliness. For further information, take a look here.

Sc 400 error message?

If this for the MPC2050 range it is for the ID Sensor Board. The board reads the calibration off the Transfer belt to align colors. It can get toner drop onto the sensors. To clear this you need to open side door and release the transfer roller cover. if you look under the fuser section you will see the black thin cover that has two srews on is a round head. Remove these and then you will see the board it has about 8 screws holding it in place. remove these and release the board. Get a soft cloth and clean the sensor lenses. Replace board and covers. turn machine back on and press the 123 button to assess the user tools. go to maintenance and carry out colour registration. if the sensors are clean this should complete.

Poor registration on Xante CL30 HSE

Make sure the drums are properly seated in their cradels, and if posible, avoid designing with white small text in heavy solid areas that are made up of process colours. For reverse type in a black background, use spot color black rather than rich black. Other than than printing on a not as heavy card, that is about all you can do.
