Re: PS3 Network Error

It's pretty much hit or miss right now with COD4 online for the PS3. I have the same game and the same problems. It has actually been going on since NOV. of ' 07. There is no way to fix it right now, just play and hope that it works okay. Most nights people can't even get online at all. What's happening is the servers for the game are way too overloaded and they can't handle all the traffic. Infinity Ward, Activision (game designers) and Demonware (take care of and supply servers) for the game are working on a fix but probably won't have a decent permanent one until the end of the month at the earliest, and I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't happen.

I've provided a few links that might make give a better understanding.

Everytime i try to sign on to my PSN or try to play online i keep getting this error code. 80710763 can anyone help me please? i cant seem to find an answer to what it means.

Shawn, I believe this is a network or Router error. The simplest solution would be to wire connect your system using a cat-5 Ethernet cord. If you still have issues connecting to the PSN, then it could be something worse. Try to do a connection test. Go to the XMB(home screen) on your PS3, scroll all the way to the left(Where you would sign in) one space to the right, then all the way to the bottom of the tab. It will say "Network connection" go into that then scroll down to "Test Network" The main thing you are looking for here, are the top 3 items that will display. "Checking for IP address" should say (SUCCESS) "Checking for internet" Should say (SUCCESS) then "Playstation Network(PSN)" again, should say (SUCCESS) If all of these say Success, then the problem is with your log-in information.(E-mail or password incorrect) If they say (FAIL) then you need to contact your internet service provider (ISP). I hope this helps you out. Good luck.

I dont know how to fix ps3 error 8001050f.

You cannot fix this yourself - however do not worry as there is a widespread issue occurring right across the board at this very moment with the PSN Network. Some PS3 Fat consoles are not synchronising properly due to an internal clock error and this is causing this error to display.

Sony are aware of the problem and say they will have it resolved within 24 hours.

For a full breakdown on the issues involved please view this FixYa Tip.

If the solution helps, please leave a vote for it. Many thanks.

Signing into the network.

for playing online with the PS3 you have at first to create a PSN (Playstation Network) Account. You can do this easylie right on the PS3 at the "Account-Management".

After creating an Account you have to log on with this account to the Playstation Network (This function also can be found in the XMB "Account" Menu.

When you log on for the first time you can easy mark the "Automatic Log-In to PSN" checkbox so that the PS3 already log on to the Network. I prefer this because it is much easier than always log in manual - This Setting is optional (Just as you want it to be set).

After doing the Steps above you should be able to play online without any problem.

I hope this Steps are the solution to your problem and I wish you a lot of fun at the PSN.

With kind regards,

Whats wrong

does this only happen with CoD4? If so you may have a faulty disk. Goto your local blockbuster and rent CoD4 and see if it does the same thing. If it does, you need to RMA your ps3 877-253-SONY and request a RMA.

If it doesn't you got a bad game disk.

PS3 problem

I really wish I had a concrete answer for you. It may just be a coincedence that it happens only when you play that game. I have had that problem before myself, but it would happen with different games at different times of the day. As you know most of the popular games like MGS4 and COD4 are made and supported by diffent companies. This also means that the servers are in different locations and have a varied amount of people on each server. MGS4 is a newer game and I also had problems with the online play with that game as many people have.

As for a soultion. Some games require a stronger signal strength then others due to the amount of MB being transfered. I would try to use a shorter Ethernet cable if using a wired connection, or moving closer to your WiFi router if using WiFi, and completely resetting the network configuration. I know thats a pian, but if it works, it will be worth it! I really hope this helps you!! Good luck.
