How do you fix the kicker cvr 12? like i wired it up right and it still doesnt work i think i blew it it isnt springy any input?..want to fix it if i can dont have a lot of money!! feedback is awesome

Isn't springy----voice coil overheated and the cone is "frozen". It's shot.

I am thinking a re-cone kit (if it could be re-coned) and labor might be just as much as getting a new one. Sorry to say.

Hey type x blew the cone off of it and reattached with glue sub plays fine but ugly. no warranty how much to recone through alpine??

You don't have to buy a recone through alpine. You can, but it will be cheaper to go to the website Fixmyspeaker.com. Go to service request and full that out info. They can make a exact cone and you wish. To go through alpine you have to go to their website.

My basslink worked great, son blew fuse, replaced, now sounds lik

If the speaker has been overdriven, it may have damaged the cone surround or damaged the speaker coil, causing it to 'rub' inside the magnet. To check for rubbing, you need to move the speaker cone backwards and forwards by hand and listen where the speaker coil/cone goes into the magnet. It should be silent if ok. If you can heara rubbing or grating noise, then the speaker is damaged. If the output driver on the amp is damaged it can give a distorted sound, which could easily happen if it tries to provide too much current.

I blew out my car speaker. Can I fix it?

Yes you can if you >
The term blown speaker can have several meanings. If it was not fixable I would say it was a blown speaker.

So 1st is it a Subwoofer or a midrange.
The Sub a little easier to fix you can send it Back to the maker of the sub and they will fix it ($)
If the cone is damaged then just use silicon
if the wires + - that are attached to the basket and the cone have fried .Soilder a new coper wire on
If the voice coil has ripped silicon
and if the copper coil is melted (you can see it but the cone will not move in or out Frozen) then this is a good time to replace it

You can go online and see if there are professional Repair kits
