Hold hte release had have somone pull the cable back form underneath the vehicle, with any luck only the front cable is stuck, if not use lots of penetrating oil to try to free the rear cables,

Testimonial: "I appreciate the quick response, I will try this ASAP! thanks alot!"

How can i release my emergency brake

Never heard of a parking brake automatically engaging. It does suffer with sticking brake cables. Are you sure the driver didn't step on the parking brake pedal? It is what I would have done and I have practiced it a number of times! You press the pedal a second time to release it. It is a known issue that the cable sticks, especially if the parking brake is never used.

Emergency brake pedal stuck and won't release on a 2011 chevrolet malibu

the brake cable line is probably stuck inside it's outer tubing. You have to remove the cable and free it up or replace it with a new cable and housing...i suggest that you gse a water resistant grease on the inner cable before re-installing the cable..DO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL YOU RELEASE THE BRAKE

Emergency brake stuck, pedal release broken

What happens is the brake cables rust inside the cable sheath and then they won't slide easily. There's no good fix for this other than replacement. It's not easy to even find where they are stuck. It might be possible to find the end of the cables at the back wheels and pull the cables back---to release the tension

Emergency Brake

What model car? On my Cadillac the problem was the vacuum line to the release valve at the parking brake pedal. The problem can be the vacuum line, the release valve or the vacuum actuator for that release valve. Mine was on the steering column.
