It's not likely that it is low on freon.Check if the compressor is hot.If so unplug for an hour or two.Plug unit back in and lissen for compressor to start if it does check for the condenser fan running.compressor has an internal thermal. If it gets hot it will shut down.If the compressor does not come on it mite be the small relay on the compressor or the compressor it self

Wont cool anymore or freeze, used to be able to unplug and it would start working again. Not this time ,the compresser will not come on.is there a sensor to tell it to come on.

If it won't come on then it can't cool or freeze. Was it not freezing before it quit? Not freezing could be low freon and the inside coils may be iced up. This unit may have a bad start capacitor or need a hard start capacitor kit to help it kick on. Empty the freezer and take a look-see behind the removable back panel. Come on back .

Not getting the cold it needed

Hi, both compartment of the refrigerator (freezer & fridge) not freezing and getting cold means you have low or empty freon (gas) in the compressor of the refrigerator and you need to refill it as soon as possible.

Take care

Frig won't cool RM2652

You'll need to get in touch with the store you bought it from but Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay. Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running. It blows cold air into the fridge side through a damper in the wall between the freezer and fridge. Make sure the damper is open.

Below the evaporator fan is the evaporator coils. Remove the back cover in the freezer to observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL) or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR PROBLEM).

Refrigerator gets too cold and freezes all the food

This is a common problem that often doesn't have a clear, permanent solution. The first thing to check is the overall internal refrigerator temperature (see the Appliance Accessories section for a refrigerator/freezer thermometer). The proper temperature should be between 35 and 42 degrees. Here are some things to try:

  • If your refrigerator temperature is closer to 35 degrees, try turning the temperature up slightly.

  • If you find that the temperature varies a lot from the top shelf to the bottom (where it is coldest), try putting produce and other sensitive products on a higher shelf.

  • If the temperature is too low and you can't make it warmer by adjusting the thermostat, you probably have a defective thermostat. If so, you need to replace it, because they cannot be repaired. Other possible problems are a leak in the sealed (refrigerant) system, cold air migration (in side-by-side models) or a defective air damper. These problems can be quite difficult to locate and correct, we recommend you contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

The upper freezer is no longer cold enough to freeze water; the refrigerator itself seems to be working o.k., but I'm not sure of that even.

it seems that you are low on freon if your freezer does not freeze enouht water you need freon cause you have a small leak in the system thanks from gilles

You might have to have a repairman check the charge of freon in the system.
