Question about Brother GX-6750 Typewriter
The hammer may be coming to rest into or otherwise be interfering with the movement of the printwheel, It could be a bad motor or the hammer cam may be not cycling properly to its' home position or may require replacement of the hammer cams assembly. Typically, if you observe the hammer moving slightly towards the paper after a print cycle, then the usual repair is replacing the cams assembly. If you are technically inclined, it is possible to remove the cams assmebly and retime the hammer cam by repositioning the helical spring into a different slot in the flange on that cam assembly. This will establish the proper position of the hammer cam at rest position.
