Hello here is your pc`s homepage:

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/Product/inspiron-8600

First check for any drivers missing in the device manager.

You need to install itunes to communicate with the ipod and ipad:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

If you have an old itunes, uninstall it and install the new.

Good luck

Could you please let me know that which drivers do i require for dell inspiron 8600

The best way to solve this is going to www.dell.com and to the drivers section. You will need your SERVICE TAG number from the bottom of the compter. Type it into the Service Tag block and it should take you to the drivers that were installed for that computer. Dell posts ALL required and recommended drivers for each service tag on their site.
Since you appear to be on another computer, I would suggest you get a removeable flash drive to download the driver to so you can install them on the laptop. Besure you SAVE the downloads to the flashdrive.

I have a dell inspiron 2650 aproximatly 2002. I have tried to install a dynex usb 2.0 cardbus adapter unsuccessfully and it slows down then shuts down my laptop. the instructions say to just put the card...

Hi there! The Cardbus adapter should come with a cd installer/driver. The driver should be compatible with the operating system you're running on your com[puter.

Try to install the driver first adn then when prompted, insert the cardbus adapter.

Hope it works!

Hi, i have dell inspiron 8600. It is working at 600 mhz but the processor speed is 1.6 ghz. The intel speed step utility is also enabled in the setup. Kindly help

The Intel SpeedStep Technology dynamically changes processor speed to help prolong battery life. If you want it to run at 1.6GHz all the time, you will have to disable it in setup.

External hard disk and pcmcia cardbus

There may not be enough power from the cardbus to run it. That bus is very low current to power it up so you will need the power cord.

Try reinstalled the card drivers.
