Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have spent ages loading all my CDs into i-tunes, 2500 songs. I had downloaded all the artwork and was almost finished. Then something happened and I now have one song in each album. All the songs are still there but they are spread out into an album of their own. Please help me, I am panicking!

Ok, I understand what you are saying. But how do I fix it? How do I get into the library view options?

  • abloubu Nov 14, 2009

I found the 3 view button at the top right but it does not fix the problem. I want to get the first view back into order. The songs appear to be listed in alphabetical order now, taking no notice of the album it is in. I want to sort the songs back into their right albums. It's probably easy but I am not very savvy

Hi! Thank you so much for all your help. I was able to work out that I had accidently clicked on the arrow at the top of the NAME (of the song column). This had caused the list to arrange in alphabetical order. I clicked on the column header Album by Artist and this reverted everything back. What a relief as it has taken so long to do. You also helped me fix some other problems too! Lifesaver!
    Kind regards!

HI ,
I suspect that you messed around in the Library views and changed something ...keeep in mind that there are four modes to view the songs ...your choice have to be the srcond I believe ...as a list with accompanying album artwork (with songs clearly grouped by album)...in order to see them as you say ...if you have chosen any other ..like list ..you will see them just like an alphabetical ordered list of songs

forst I would like to know if you ar eon a computer or ...an Ipod ..but in general its the same problem ...look for views ..and choose list albums or something like this ..also might be from grouping ..in the play list mode..select group by album..

Library viewsiTunes users may choose to view their music and video libraries in
one of four ways: as a list, as a list with accompanying album artwork
(with songs clearly grouped by album), in Cover Flow (a side-scrolling catalog of album artwork), or in Grid View.

The standard list view displays library files with many optional
detail fields, including name, artist, album, genre, user rating, play
count, and so forth. Item backgrounds alternate between white and a
    light blue-gray for readability.

The list with accompanying album artwork is much the same, only the
list is broken up by albums, with the artwork as a header to the list.
Although this allows users to browse content more visually, sorting the
list view by name will accordingly break up the library into redundant
instances of each album. Accordingly, as with Cover Flow view, the
second view mode is most appropriate for users who sort their libraries
    by album.

Cover Flow displays all of the user's album art as CD covers in a
slideshow format. It sorts the albums into artist, genre, etc.
Compilation albums are only shown as a single album cover if the
compilation tag for each of the album's tracks is turned on. If the
song(s) from the album were imported from a 'mix' CD, the album artwork
will be displayed as a default music note pictures. Cover flow was
    first introduced in version 7.0.

Grid View is similar to Cover Flow, displaying the user's cover art
in a grid rather than a side-scrolling format. Albums can also be
sorted into groups by artist, genre, or composer.

iTunes also sorts with secondary parameters, album by artist and
album by year, to make its artwork-centered interfaces more intuitive.
if this will not make light into your problem .we ask for a second opinnion ...that might be something else I am not familiar with...but
those were ..the options you should get into the library views ( inside tools ) ...from there you should choose one of the listing methods that will suit your needs...and that should be enough to change it ... and get the view by artist ..album or whatever you choose to ...

How to add album artwork, lyrics to your iTunes (iPod Touch and iPhone) songs.

This is what the iPod app looks like (sideways - coverflow view) with the correct album artworks in each song.

9c011d0.jpg

... isn't that lovely?

To have that, this is what you gotta do:

First, you need to have the correct album artwork of your songs. And how do you know if you got the right album artwork?

Check it out here or you can use this web address:
http://lyrics.wikia.com/Green_Day:Dookie_(1994)

Tip: if you want a larger image, just google it, just like this sample. And another thing, you don't need to save all the artworks on your computer, just copy-paste will do (refer number 6 below).

Just make the artwork available for you to copy from your internet browser.

Now that you have the correct artwork, here's what you need to do next:

Take note that the procedure will be the same for both Mac and Windows.

1. Open iTunes.

a28efd3.jpg

2. Select Music.

cd76395.jpg

3. Right-click on the song where you want to add/replace the album artwork.

4. Select "Get Info" to open the song properties.

057efdf.jpg

5. Select the "Artwork" tab, which happens to be the last tab.

7f7bc8a.jpg

6. Add the correct artwork or delete any wrong artwork that you see there and replace it, by clicking "Add..." button and locating the correct artwork from your computer.

Another way of adding/replacing the artwork is to open the correct album artwork from your files or like I've mentioned above, straight from the internet (thru google or wherever), right click on the image and select "Copy". and then go back to song properties on iTunes and paste it by clicking CTRL-V (control, then V) from Windows keyboard or Command-V (command, then V) from Mac keyboard.

7. Finally, click the "Ok" button to save your changes.

Adding or replacing lyrics will take the same steps except that there is no "Add..." button there, only copy-paste or type it yourself.

Tip: it'll be easier if you do all of these stuffs simultaneously.

8. After you've fixed the song properties, sync your iPhone / iPod Touch to iTunes.

And you're all done! Congratulations!

I want to download i tunes for apple ipoda1320

Hello!!

Load music into your iTunes library by either purchasing tracks or CDs online from the iTunes store, which is accessible through the iTunes interface, or insert CDs into your CD-ROM drive and rip them into your iTunes library by clicking "Import Music" within your iTunes interface.

Uncheck any songs that you do not wish to be transferred from your iTunes library to your iPod, for the iTunes library will automatically begin downloading all songs (which are checked by default) to your iPod upon connection.

Connect your iPod to your computer via the USB port that came with the purchase of your iPod. Click on "iPod" located under the "Devices" category to begin the syncing process if your computer does not begin automatically downloading music to your iPod..

How do i load the songs in this ,. Do we need to download any software to upload the songs and arrange it ,. Please help how to manage this IPOD. Thanks Silvester

To download tunes on to the IPod, I suggest you download and install ITunes on to your computer. You can then copy the MP4 music files to your IPod using the supplied USB cable.
ITunes can convert your CDs to MP4 format so it can be played inthe IPod or you can download the music for the ITunes store.
Please click on this link to ITunes WEB site to download :-

My Ipod keeps displaying the wrong album artwork when i'm listening to music

That's because it's really wrong. If you have the correct album artwork saved on your computer, this is the way to fix it.
1. Open iTunes.
2. Select Music.
3. Right-click on the song with incorrect album artwork.
4. Select "Get Info" to open the song properties.
5. Select the "Artwork" tab, which happens to be the last tab.
6. Delete the wrong artwork that you see there and replace it by clicking "Add..." button and locating the correct artwork from your computer.
Another way of replacing it is to open the correct album artwork (from your computer), right click on the image and select "Copy". and then go back to song properties on iTunes and paste it by clicking CTRL-V (control, then V) from Windows keyboard or Command-V (command, then V) from Mac keyboard.
7. Finally, click the "Ok" button to save your changes.
BTW, you can also modify the song title, and the lyrics from the song properties.
I hope that solves your problem.

Try TouchCopy - it copied all my songs, videos, playlists, playcounts, artwork, and other song data to my new iTunes library. It's very easy to use, and it stops your iPod from auto-syncing. Works with all iPods and iPhone

How to get album art?

  1. Click on "Advanced" which is found at the top of the screen. Select "Get Album Artwork" from the drop down menu. It will ask you "Are you sure you want to get album artwork?" Hit "Get Album Artwork". Before you do that, you can select "Don't ask me again" if you don't want this to pop up in the future.
  2. Wait until it is done searching for the artwork. A window will pop up saying that it either found all artwork or they didn't. If they did, then great, your done, plug in your iPod and start jamming. But if they didn't, you can still jam away, but check the song title, album name, artist, and genre to see if you got it typed in correctly. Type in what they are supposed to be and try again.
  3. If they still can't find it, then you can add them manually. Look at the link below to find out how to do it manually.
OR
If Itunes wont find the art work:
  1. Find the artwork for the album on the internet. Try using Wikipedia. Click on the artwork to get a larger image. If you can't find it there, I'm sure you can find it using Google images. Anyway, once you find it drag it to your desktop. Make sure it is on there before you continue.
  2. Next, you need to highlight the songs that are in the album you are getting artwork for. To highlight multiple songs, click on the first song and then while holding the shift key click on the last song. To highlight multiple songs that aren't grouped together, click on all the songs while holding the command key on a Mac and ctrl key on a PC.
  3. Now go to "File" then "Get Info". A window will pop up asking you if you want to edit multiple items. Click "Yes". Another window will pop up labeled "Multiple Item Information". You will notice a box on the right hand side of the window that says "Artwork". Click and drag the artwork that is on your desktop into that box. It should appear there. When it does, select "Ok".
  4. When it is done processing, plug your iPod into the computer, sync it, and take your iPod out to start listening to your improved music.
