Question about Philips 42PF7220A 42 in. Plasma Television

1 Answer

No picture in Philips 42pf7220a/37 Plasma TV.

I turned on the TV today morning and there was no picture. Only sound was coming. Last night when I switch it off it was working great. There is no burning smell and I have checked all the connectors by opening the back cover but everything is fine. There is not burn out also. I am looking for a service manual for this TV or any tip of which component can be defective.
Thanks a Lot in Advance!

    Hello Roety,

Thanks for your quick response. I have checked all the capacitors and none of them looks swollen. I have also tested all the fuses with multimeter and they are good too. Can you give me some other tip?

    Thanks,
    Samual

Philips 42PF7220A/37 Chassis Number BP2.3U

I think its something on the picture frame board or on the line output board. I would sway to the line output simply because I think but not sure that error code is linked to the line output stage plus when you unplugged the cable the voltage seems within parameters. Good luck.

Settings screen keeps coming on

Remove the batteries from the remote and see if it still happens. If not, then you have a stuck button on the remote. If it continues, then it is a TV problem.

My Philips Plasma TV model 42PF7220A/37 went into "no menu exit" mode on 11/28/2007. I went to www.usasupport.philips.com and downloaded an upgrade. Just followed the instructions and my TV is all better.
