Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62531 LCD rear projection TV. I recently replaced the bulb because the "lamp" light illuminated. It worked for a little while, then the "lamp" light came on again. I reseated the lamp and it worked for a couple days. This cycle repeated fro a few times. Now it will not work and I hear a buzzing and clicking sound coming from the lamp area after I have reset the "Lamp" fault and attempt to turn the unit on.

Hi.

You need to replace the ballast board. This is the high voltage board connected to the lamp.

Before replacement the board must be tested by a technician, reading DC voltage in and high voltage out. This board must not be replaced by the home user.

Part number is 938P055010

Here the part: TV Modules - Light Engines - Electronic Parts Home Shipping Form ...

Alternatively call Mitsubishi at the number listed on the owner manual to get a quote on repair.

Regards.

Make sure that the lamp cage is seating well .. then make sure the door is closed properly. there is a door switch and if the door dont close right the switch may be telling the set the lamp is out.

Mitsubishi WD-62531 Replaced lamp 2 weeks ago. Red light flashing again. Same problem but the lamp is fine. Sound but no picture.

You have either a bad ballast (it powers the lamp) or a bad DMD board. Either one of those will result in a no lamp fire issue. Have a technician look at it...

Just replaced bulb two days ago and now theres no picture

there could be a couple of things causing thie, make sure the lamp is all the way plugged in, make sure the lamp door is on and completily closed, also if a fan is stuck and cant spin, also the ballast can cause this, that is the small board that lights the lamp
