The difference in the two pumps is that with a three wire pump the start and run capacitors are in the gray box. With a two wire pump the caps. are built into the motor. Because of this with a two wire pump you only need to run the 240v down the well to the pump. The yellow wire on the three wire pumps is the igh voltage wire that come from the start cap. I have used both pums but usually use the two wire because they are easier to hookup and the wire is cheaper because you only need to run three wires. (2 hots and ground) On large HP pumps you will always have three wire motors because the caps. get too big to get them in the motor. It is best to go three phase with big pump if you can.

Well a 1/2 hp control box work on a 3/4 hp well motor

That rating is deceptive. Horsepower equates to amps and they are two different ratings. You should not use a 1/2 HP for a 3/4 rated motor.

Looking for a new motor for a utilitech pro 0313836 submersible pump

Most submersible pump motors are interchangeable.
A 230 V motor will run cheaper. Be sure to get the correct HP motor.

Submersible pump with only two wires going to the motor. how do i connect it to the control box?

Brown wire should be active and blue should be neutral. the motor will still spin the correct direction as it is single phase . Have a look in the connector box and which ever wire is connected to the active then that will be the wire for the motor.

No water on submersible pump

I assume this is a new instalation or you just removed and reinstalled to pump. As you have power on the load side and we assume your wiring to the pump is correst, you need to open a valve on the output side of the pum and bleed the pump. They will become air bound, Leave the valve open until it flow freeley. That should do it

Good Luck
