Whirlpool washing machine Loud when spinning

Make sure the load is balanced and check the springs on top and make sure they are all attached.

You can pop the top up with a flathead screwdriver and rag to keep it from chipping paint. pry up at corners both front sides and lift half way up and check it out at the top and bottom of the tub.

GWL10U2 tends to get out of balance no matter how big or small the load is.

i would have a look inside of it as there are some springs that hold the drum in the right place if one of the springs has broken or fell of this is the reson its jumping round the room on spin out of balance,,,its an easy fix if you can do the job yourself,

First change the springs - both the leveling and suspension. You may also need to change a few other parts on the brake and drive tube including the thrust ring. But replace the springs and let see what happens.

It's either a bad suspension spring or you have a crack in the tub support.

Check base mount springs, there are 3 from base to tub and 1 from tub to back bottom for counter balancing. If all are ok then you will have a skid plate problem. Best to call for help.
