Question about Dell Latitude C640 Notebook
--start DST Short test-- test results: fail
error code: 1000-0141
msg: no drive detected
i did the system check by holding fn down and this came up on the screen.
what does this mean and what do i have to do to fix it?
It means that the Hard Disk Drive that holds all your data and the WIndows Operating system is not being seen by the system BIOS. Remove and reseat the hard drive, see if it detects. If it doesn't then you'll be replacing the hard drive.
