With any door open click the LOCK key then UNLOCK then LOCK again... you should hear a series of beeps and the Red indicator light with stop flashing... the alarm is now bypassed. Repeat the procedure to enable the alarm.
However if your car has the remote start feature you may be having another issue altogether let me know if this solves your issue.
Good Luck

I installed a new steering column in my 2004 Pontiac sunfire and now it will not start. It tries then I beta back fire.

Anti-theft system isn't allowing it too .
The Passlock™ System is provided in order to prevent vehicle theft if the ignition lock cylinder is forced to rotate or the ignition switch is operated while separated from the ignition lock cylinder case. If starting is attempted without authorization from the Passlock™ System, the powertrain control module (PCM) will disable engine starting. Start disable may be in the form of fuel disable or starter disable, depending on engine application.
The components of the Passlock™ System are as follows:
• The ignition lock cylinder and key
• The ignition lock cylinder case, including the Passlock™ sensor
• The ignition switch
• The body control module (BCM)
• The security indicator on the instrument cluster
• The powertrain control module (PCM)

2000 grand am security light comes on can i bypass that with remote start

Are you the one who bought the vehicle new ? Replaced ignition switch or the ignition lock cylinder ? No , sorry, but a remote start will not by pass anti-theft system .

The vehicle theft deterrent system is designed in order to prevent vehicle theft by disabling the fuel injectors unless the lock cylinder is correctly engaged by a mechanical key. The theft deterrent system uses the following 4 components for theft prevention:
• The lock cylinder
• The ignition switch
• The body control module (BCM)
• The powertrain control module (PCM)
When starting the engine, the PCM searches for a password from the BCM through the Class 2 serial data circuit. If the password is not recognized or not present, the PCM will disable the engine. Two modes of tamper detection are provided:
No password received
The engine will start and stall quickly. SECURITY telltale will flash on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and then stay ON steady.
Incorrect or disable password received (More than 3 invalid passwords are received)
The engine is disabled for at least 10 minutes and the SECURITY telltale will illuminate solid on the IPC during the 10 minutes.
After the vehicle has passed theft detection, the PCM will continue normal operation.

I removed my alarm system keystartremove n now want start 98 old cultass 3.1 engine

You can't do that an expect the vehicle to start , software programmed in the computer system . If the engine PCM doesn't see a pass word or coded message from the BCM or anti-theft module . IT will disable starting and or fuel injetor control .
Important: Due to component variability, the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system must have the learn procedure performed regardless, if the vehicle starts on the first ignition cycle after a VTD repair.
All codes in the theft deterrent module must be cleared for a relearn.

They do sell by pass modules you can find on the internet , in some cases it cheaper to have it fixed proper by a qualified repair shop . It just depends what the original problem was . You how ever just complicated matters by changing thing's .

Clifford g5 alarm how do i reset it after i was checking fuses it wont let me start the car

The car won't start because the Clifford alarm has a starter interrupt wire where the start wire runs through the alarm system module/relay. The unit then must still be active for the car not to start. If pressing the disarm/unlock button on your Clifford key FOB does not turn the system off, you will after to do it manually. You will need to locate the manual override button installed somewhere in the car that is connected to the alarm system. Turn the ignition switch to "on" or "run" and within 10 seconds press the manual override switch. That will turn the alarm system off and allow the car to be driven normally. I would then take the vehicle to an authorized Clifford or other DEI (Viper) install shop and have them diagnose your apparent problem.

I have a 1995 audi coupe thats fitted with a clifford alsrm and immobiliser. is it possible to disable it?

You could go under the dash and try and find any aftermarket wires connecting to the ignition harness that may be able to be disconnected. I would try the heavy gauge red wires first. (make sure car starts afterwards). But to have a draw that strong there is more than likely another issue.

I need some help on my old Clifford Alarm system. I purchased my Toyota used about a year ago and I can not get the light on the dash to go off. I replaced the batteries in the key ring on both sets but it...

it is unlikely that the light is causing the battery to drain. it sounds like the system is in valet mode, if it's an older Clifford with a two button keypad somewhere (typically on the dash), turn ignition on, and press the * button twice, then press and hold the blank button.
if it's a newer Clifford system (Clifford Matrix), locate the valet button, then turn the key to ignition (ON), then off and press and release the valet button.

Battery went dead, clifford alarm locked the engine

Assuming that all is well with the vehicle's electrical system (fuses, etc...), the following should work, as Viper/Clifford uses the "fail safe" method of starter disable, and it only works to lock out the starter when the alarm is functioning properly and in the armed state.

That system has a "starter kill" system. When the alarm is actived, the starter kill is engages, and won't let the starter get voltage from the ignition switch. First thing I'd try is connecting the car's battery while the ignition key is turned to the "on/run" position. Cycle the alarm to arm, then disarm, so that the LED is not blinking. It also may require using the manual override button/switch (with the key on) to reset the alarm. Should start after that.

If all else fails, reconnecting the starter wires back together (they are spliced and running through the alarm via a SPDT relay.
