Re: lg nv 9900

I had the same problem with my NV after 1.5 years of use. Verizon replaced the NV with an Alias and it is garbage! Luckily, using my charm and social engineering skills, I was able to talk the insurance company into sending me a new NV, in green.

My ex and all of her friends also use the NV. We all have had the same problem with the loose charging area! Do not let the store/insurance company lie and say they've never heard of this issue. This is a design/manufacturing error and your warranty should cover it. Also do not get the Alias, it is a piece of terd compared to the NV.

No solution, same problem for me. They say it comes from pulling forcefully on the charger when removing it? You pull till it comes out - I mean wtf. My store says $20 to fix it.

I tried this but I think my charger might have widened the charger port. Is this a possibilty?

i dont think think that is very possible because the charger has been designed to be smaller than the charging port so as to enable it fit in. the only way this is possible is if you forcefully tried another charger or object which may have been probably bigger than the charging port.

My Gz One Boulder's charger port broke off. I

The same thing happened to my Gz One Boulder. I sent it back to Verizon for replacement. The 2nd Gz One Boulder also had problems with the charging port within 2 weeks after I got it so I sent it back too.

I am now on my 3rd Gz One Boulder. I've only had it 2 days. Time will tell if the charging port on this one will hold up. Frankly I doubt it.

My best advise to you is get a different phone if you have the opportunity to do so.

My phone just randomly stopped charging!

The problem is with your charger, because of use, the wiring has grown loose.
I've had it happen with several of my cell phones. I suggest buying a new charger, keep the receipt and box, try it. If that's doesn't work, return it.

Envy charge port keeps breaking

Although today's electrinics are nicer to look at than things were 5 years ago, they're also more fragile. You must treat things like egg shells if you want them to last. I've had the same cell phone for 4 years, mi wife has been through 7.

My daughter's LG EnV charging port

You can get a charger at The link is

The charger charges the battery independent of the phone. It is the only one I have found and it works GREAT. I had a couple issues at first but the rep, Matt, bent over backwards to resolve them. I would recommend this charger and company to anybody. The charger is a universal charger and will charge other cell phone batteries as well. The only con is that it does take a little longer to charge than using the port.

Broken charger port

i have the same problem with my enV my friend stripped the wires to my charger at the part where you plug it into the phone so now to charge my phone i tape the red wire to the positive on the battery and the black wire to the negitive there will be a shiny metal goldish color thing (there like 4 lil gold bars) on your battery that looks like this --> (negative) | | | | (positive) | - | | | + | tape the wires on the outside were the symbols are - and + and try not to let it toch the middle bars on the battery or it wont work and dont cover the little bars up with tape put the battery back in the phone making sure the wires dont move to much and it should charge sometimes you got tape the battery onto the phone to make sure it doesnt pop out but its what i do and it saves you money on having to go buy a whole new one or if you know someone with the same phone give them your battery to charge it :)

Charger port

Go to They sell a battery charger that doesn't require the battery to be attached to the phone. This will work for the LG EnV phone. $17.00 + $3.95 shipping. Case closed.

me and my dad have shared one lg charger for about a year and i havent had any problems, i think the only design problem with them is that the end of the charger, along with the cover for the charger in slot, are very very fragile. If you get a new charger just be really careful with it.
