Question about RCA Televison & Video
The cause of the noise depend on the TV model.
Often an high pitched noise can be caused by a defective fan bearing inside the TV.
The color wheel is a part that can also make high pitched noise.
If noise is not caused by a bearing, but it is on speaker, then you have to replace the board that is hosting the audio circuit inside the TV.
The problem is fixed disassembling the TV, locating the source of the noise and replacing the part.
Parts for most models here.

The high tension transformer rings for several hours before the monitor dies all together. Sadly now you will be sick for a different reason... And I hate to be the bearer of bad news. The only way to get rid of it is to replace the high tension transformer. The problem there is that the cost is prohibitive, and really not worth it compared to the relatively low cost of replacing it. Regards, Joe
