It has USB output and input can be following
Cable,antenna,S-Videoin,Composite video in (red, yellow and white)
Now using this i am able to see TV/Cable program to my laptop.
(connect cable wire to tv tuner card and usb output to laptop and start
windows media center and click on Live Tv)
i tried same thing with my sony hdr7 camcoder. but i m not able to see output at window media center - i check on channel 3 and others.
do i need to use other s/w or hardware to capture video?
I've had the same problem with two other unrelated HP input products in this area myself so I understand the pain. Media Center is not really well geared for nor is very friendly in the end user component input area. I'm assuming you've already tried playing a video file from your camcorder while setting up the Media Center input settings? Try a different software that will recognize your input card. Ideally, you should use any input software that came with the card itself from the manufacturer. Contact the manufacturer for a link to the original software bundle if you can't find it from their website or you may need to research your own replacement software solution for this product.
