Question about Cameras

1 Answer

I have a Lumix DMC-LZ10 camera. When I turn it on the lens zooms in and out over and over and then asks me to turn of the camera and restart. I can not take pictures at all. The LCD does display but it will not function properly.

How do I fix a stuck lens stutter (not cover) on a Lumix Camera?

Unfortunately, this is not a problem that I would attempt myself, and unless you are experienced with micro-electronics I would seriously caution you from attempting it yourself.
This is not an old camera model, do you still have a warranty? If so, I suggest bringing it (or sending it) to the nearest Panasonic authorized repair center.
If it is out of warranty, call and find out what Panasonic charges for servicing this camera model. Typically they have a flat rate for servicing each particular model. You might consider picking one up on Ebay if the repair cost is too high. But please know that this is not like old SLR's which could be repaired at home.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 Less than 1 year old

same problem with ours, only 7 months old. We returned to the seller under warranty, and they fixed the problem FOC. They stated "lens adjustment" on the repair invoice.
I think these machines are not as sturdy as we are led to believe, and the slightest knock or bump sends them a bit squew wiffy!

Panasonic Lumix DMC LZ2

My camera is a Lumix DMC - LS70 and the same thing was happening to me, the camera kept telling me to turn it off which never solved the problem and the lens never closed when the camera turned off. What i did was, i zoomed out as i turned the camera on (while it was in a picture taking mode) and it corrected itself. Try it and see what happens.
