I've just purchased a PCIMCA firewire card for my laptop to use for capturing DV from my panasonic DV cam.
XP recognises the card, then recognises the cam when I plug it in and according to device manager is "working properly".
When I then try to capture in one of 4 video editing programs I've tried, I capture one frame and the programme freezes.
Have tried the windows movie, video dub, + others.
Any ideas? Thanks
