Jim5944, It depends on how old the unit is and if you would think it was a cost effective fix for the unit. You will be the deciding factor in the fate of the MW22U. To change the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" the unit will need to be stripped down to be able to cut loose the ends of the
lamps from the silicone sealer used to mount them to the lcd panel. Before installing new lamps they should be BENCH TESTED to prove that the new ARE NOT doing what the OLD ONES were doing! If new act same as old then the power supply/inverter supply may also need REFURBISHMENT!!! FYI check out www.lcdparts.net , www.ccl-la.com and other places like YOUTUBE for video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly", "LCD monitor repair" for additional info. If this info was of some help, please rate on FIXYA. 12fixlouie nrt of windy city. BYE for now.

I'm getting a "VGA" window a lot in the upper left corner. Is there a way to eliminate this?

The source of the signal is constantly rediscovered because it constantly gets lost - check the cable and how it's fixed in the monitor and the pc. Prepare yourself to spend some money on a new video card.

Conecte mi laptop toshiba al monitor X2GEN y no se ve nada

There should be a VGA port on the side of your laptop so you can plug the monitors cable into your laptop.
But I can tell you more if you give me the model numbers of the laptop and monitor.

Mw22u monitor has white screen.

Manufacturer out of business. Local repair shops want more $ to fix than the cost of a new one.
Solution --- Trash old and replace with new display.
