No service

I assume you've swapped the SIM card over to the new phone (it's the SIM card that holds the number). If so, try powering the phone down, then back on again. Also, you will need to get the network settings from your operator to get data, MMS etc working properly.

I bought a lg xenon and it keeps saying sim card initializing or sim card not ready! Why is it doing that?

Either your SIM or your SIM reader have probably gone bad try getting another SIM first tho and if that doesnt work you may need to have the phone repaired

Samsung tacco light GT-S5230 puk code phone on o2 network

Puk locks are usually common problems when the user has gone into the security settings of the phone and unknowlingly tried to change some of the network settings. This causes the phone to do a PUK lock. Its nothing too serious at first simply call your customer service from a third line just tell the situation and they will just verify you are the user on the account and they will tell you how to reset the code and give you a new one. But beware if this happens too many times the phone will perminatley lock up thinking someone is tryin to change all the seetings and will need to be flashed. Just call you customer service and everything should be fine.

1. Check with someone who's on the same network to make sure there is a service locally (and that it isn't the cell base that has gone down). 2. Try turning the phone off, then back on again. 3. Have a flick through the phone settings menu. Make sure the phone hasn't been set to the wrong band (GSM 900 and 1800 don't usually work in the US). Find the network selection menu. It should normally be set to "Auto". If it isn't, change it so it is. If it already is, set it to manual, let it search for networks, then select your own. If that works, try it on auto again. If none of that works, I think you will probably have to take the phone into a dealer for a more in-depth look. A.
