No water from dispenser

GE GSS23SGSSS Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator problem on FixYa.com. No water from dispenser. Have tried changing filter, checking water supply, uncuppled the water line below door and got a trickle of water each time I hit dispenser button.

I had the problem with the water dispenser not working.i tried all kind things finally I figured out the water was freezing ing the door. I cut a piece of 1/2 styro foam out that covers right below where the ice is dispensed just a square and use double sided tape to stick it to the back side of the door and haven't had anymore problems.

I forgot to mention you need to leave the door open for 4to5 hours to thaw out or use a blow dryer to do it quicker.just heat the square part below the ice dispenser.

You need to replace the water valve behind the refrig , where the wall waterline connects to , on the refrig . Pt # WR57X10051 .

I replaced the water filter on a GE profile appliance but the water will not dispense. I even replaced it again with the second new filter from the pack it came in and the dispenser does not dispense water...

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...

Water will not come out of dispenser

Remove kick plate at bottom of fridge in front. Find line that brings water to door. There should be a coupling that connects the line together there. Remove the line and get a cup. While holding line into cup with door shut push water dispenser with other hand. Did you get water into cup.

No water, no ice, but new water filter cartridge

If it was running before the filter change you need to purge the filter cartridge of the air in the lines. Also check voltage on the back on the water control valves . While someone presses dispenser you should get 120volts AC on the plug receptacle side for the dispenser . Let me know what you find, Sea Breeze

I have a GE side by side stainless steel refrig. the water will not dispense. How can I fix it?

Is there water to the water valve in the rear of the fridge? If yes, replace the water filter if older than 6 months or if you're on a well. You may need an inline water filter behind your fridge in addition to the one in the fridge to protect the water valve. If no, turn on the water. If you're making ice but no water dispense and you have a new water filter. Replace the water valve.

trace the water lines, from the sink, to the filter and to the solenoids going to the tank and ice maker. you may need to purge the air inside the water lines.
