The sound output on my laptop muffles out monologue

The sound output is wrong, for example with a movie you can hear the music ok but the monologue, any talking is muffled out. I've tried adjusting the sound settings with no luck. Thank you

It is most likely that somewhere in sound settings you have chosen to us 5.1 or even 7.1 sound system, and you are probably using simple 2.0
in this occasions 2.0 speakers act like rear speakers

Why does sound have a muffled sound to it

It sounds like you have a bad ground connection on either an input or output. Try wiggling the cables and plugs that connect to it. If you can figure out which cable is bad, try a new one. If it still has the problem, then the problem may be inside the mixer. If so, I can fix it. Contact me at ken_more@netzero.net.

No audio output. muffled output from Phones jack

you need to check the power supply of the amplifier with the help of a voltmeter. if that is OK the power amplifier IC(integrated circuit) is gone bad, see for overheating of IC.

The speakers wil not play on the background and the center.

If you connected to a 5.1 surround card and checked and they are connected ok you can hear all the speakers when you play music, movies that are in 5.1 format only. If you want to hear also all of them if you listen to stereo movies/music you must set the sound card to emulate multi channel. Also the player you use to listen music/wath movies must be set to 5.1 and must accept Dolby Digital/ DTS decoding if your sound card doesn't(eg. VLC media player-has integrated DD and DTS decoding and codecs for all tipes/formats).

Laptop Sound Problem - Muffled!

The DVD players in laptops are asked to do alot. First I would try is that movie on another DVD player - wtch closely to see or here any abnormalities in the the same location. Your DVD laptop player may very well be bad. Better to get it checked out under warranty. When you take it or send it make sure you tell the tech where exactly the movie goes muffled and if you can send or give the movie to the tech.

Muffled voice track on JVC TH-C5

It's an audio setting you will need to change. some movies are decoded in dolby and some by dts. This means you will have to adjust accordingly depending upon the source of audio in the movie. a double d is dolby's trademark and dts is regesterted trademark for the company "digital theater sound." The icons are on the dvd usually. Anyways, find the set up button on the remote control and use the directional arrow keys on the remote; up, down, left, or right to adjust for best sound. the thc5 will have the most function on the surround settings, movie, music, and all st. try a sequence, than repeat until desired sound is heard... good luck

Audio Problems With MP3

First thing you wanna do is to try another set of headphones. If it still sounds muffled then theres a fault in the audio output section and these things are non user serviceable. Your gonna need to send back to the manufacturer. Good Luck
