Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1: Windows
Recently my inbox empty's when I close Windows Mail or use another window. All email I move to folders are still there, but any I left in my inbox to read later all dissapear, opened or unopened.
You really should install service pack two and all other updates, b/c you are leaving yourself wide open for all sorts of problems and malware. There is a remote possibility that someone set your inbox properties to archive or empty upon closing. You can right click on your inbox folder and go to properties, auto-archive, and check the length of time mail is to be kept. Exact instructions are difficult w/o knowing the program you are using. You can also search deleted and archive folders for lost mail. You should run a full virus scan and look for trojans immediately.
