Re: I cant upgrade my psp

You should just your psp wirless and then do it and if it doesn't work that is a problem with the psp because your school network security doesn't have to do with the blocking of the website there

Has your school blocked google? You can trick the school's network in to thinking you are on google, but actually using that blocked website......

do this:
1. Browse to
2. Where you see, "Translate a webpage" type in the blocked site
3. Choose "Spanish to English" (even though the site isn't in spanish, it will still work and appear in english just fine)
4.Click "Translate"

This should bring up the blocked website through google!

Since the firmware is so so high (above 5.03) a battery is needed for it, your very lucky as many people have 3000s and even a pandoras battery wont work for them. so thing is i have one, i can make them, but i cant just downgrade a psp with 5.51 wtihout battery and also a proper memory card.

so if you would like i could send you they proper utilitys to do so. no charge.

If you have a 300x model forget it, if you have a slim....depending on the motherboard it may be possible with a pandora battery, but the most common psp that is easily downgradable are the Fat models (old school psp's) and even then you need a pandora battery

I upgrade my psp in version 5.01, now i cant play my games

the PSP has to be hacked in order for you to play downloaded games. If you get a magic memory stick and a pandora battery it can be done easily even with the 5.50 firmware version. Google pandora battery, and magic memory stic or (psp mmj tutorial) and you get lots of good info.

Hope this helps.

The hard drive has been corrupted (possible virus or spam) you need to unbrick your psp. Give me a email address and i will send you a web site to show you how to do this.

HELLO! There's no need to downgrade ur PSP. If u have upgraded ur PSP from the official site and a official firmware has been installed on to ur PSP, it won't execute games(ISO,CSO) from ur memory stick. It will only run games from the UMD. If u want to run ur games from a memory stick u have to install a CUSTOM FIRMWARE. Try these guys have many softwares on their site. Dont worry its not that hard to put a Custom firmware onto ur PSP.

Dropped my daughters PSP

if its not an LCD problem....

this is what we call a BRICK ...

usually this happens when you are upgrading your firmware
then the upgrading process is interrupted (empty batt.. etc)

you could send it back to sony and have them fix it

buy a new motherboard ... costs half the price of a psp unit i think

get pandoras battery and magic memory stick and resurrect your psp :D

*google for pandoras battery and read up *

How to upgrade my psp version 3.72 to version 3.9?

UMMM you don't need to upgrade you need to downgrade. Once you downgrade you can actually go ahead and upgrade to a custom firmware wich are the ones that allow you to do that and much more. If you really want to know how to do this and are still interested please send me an email at I say email because its a long process and i would need to ask you some questions about your psp and other stuff to so if you want more help send me a message with psp info as the tittle.

No recovery mode

Thats because  your psp's current firmware doesnt allow to go to recovery same thing happens to me I upgraded my psp from 3.60 to 3.95 and now I cant cant go to recovery mode or downgrade it with a pandora battery cause 3.95 blocks pandora batterys. So the best thing to do is to upgrade it to 4.00 when it comes out in May or December 2008.
