It's odd that your anti-virus software can "detect" but *NOT* "remove" the malicious software.

Try the free(!) "Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool":

to see if that tool will identify/remove it.

and click to run a "virus-scan", to see if that scanner will remove it.

Note that "best practices" states that you should backup all the data, "wipe" the hard-drive, reinstall Windows, and reload the data,
because you can never be SURE that you have eliminated the virus and have UNDONE all the "damage" that the virus has done.

Laptop infected with worm.

Nortons sucks. you should try an anti-virus scan with Malwarebytes, then you should install Avast as your resident protection.

Be sure, when uninstalling Nortons, to use the uninstallation tool found on the nortons site. if you use the regular windows uninstaller, it will not remove all of it, and it will slow your computer down.

My computer is infected with lasa.blaster.keyloger and i cannot activate any programs except the internet. can uou help? Is there aan answer? I can not get my e-mails.

Reboot in safe mode (this is done by restarting the computer and pressing the F8 key, which will give you a list of bootup options. Select Safe Mode.) From safe mode, download the following anti-virus programs: AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, and CCleaner. All these programs are free, very effective, and can all be downloaded from Once they have been downloaded, install them and run scans. All three should get the virus out.

Ytbb.exe is infected with worm Lsas.Blaster.Keyloger can't get any of my desktop icons. It's like my PC is frozen on this blue screen.

You need to get an antivirus program on a CD, boot your computer with the AV in the CD-Rom, and then do a scan. Clean the infection, boot the computer, and run the AV again
