My X15 has worked fine until recently when I had it on and then the screen suddenly was distorted and then it went blank. Now when I turn it on sometimes it remains a blank screen, sometimes it starts up and the screen is all distorted and then sometimes it starts up normally, sometimes through the logon screen and then the screen distorts and or goes blank.
No matter how it starts in the end it finishes with the blank black screen.
It always continues to be on and it seems the laptop is still working as on some occasions I am able to shut it down using the windows keys.
Sounds like there is something fluky with your LCD. How old is the laptop? I had a system like that and if I pinched the plastic areas on the left and right side of the monitor the screen would come back on. Also, I had a laptop that I had to close almost all the way and open again to get the screen to kick on. Definitely sounds like a connection to your screen, or the screen itself.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DI IS HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON UNTIL A SCREEN COMES UP THAT SAYS: "SUSTEM IS REPAIRING ITSELF". That screen will stay on and along the top of the screen you will see a percentage progress line of the repair in progress. (It will take around 4-5 minutes)
i think u still have ur warranty period active.. if u do jus take ur cell to thje service station and tell them tat the screen went blank all of a sudden... dnt tell them abt ur steam things and all... since u have ur warranty period ur screen wld b changer free of cost... suppose if u've bot ur cell recently then fight 4a replacement in the service station... jus tell them its the manufacturers fault and u didnt do anythin... u have chances to get it replaced... or change ur screen... but nvr tell them tat u took it into a steam room... remember 4 all samsung mobiles, if u service ur mobiles 3 or more tmys in a single service station then ur cell has to b repalced within ur warranty period.. its their rule... use it.... b criminal at tyms.. lol... cheers
I have exactly the same problem with my W880i. Suddenly, one day, out of the blue it went half and half, the right side completely blank(yet still with the back light on - I think - ). And a few months later (now). It suddenly randomly went completely blank - back light definitely on -. It happened today, and I am desperately searching for a solution. If I take the battery out, put it back in, turn it on, I can feel the vibrate, and notice a slight change in colour on the screen. But it stays completely blank, and hasn't changed in hours. So ANY help would be appreciated.
Have you tried pressing F8 on boot-up and log into safe mode under administrator, no password, and right click on any empty space on the desktop, left click on properties, left click on settings, select a lower resolution,( e.g. 1024X768 ) select apply, select ok, reboot, log in as normal
1) Consult service manual for details.........procedure issues?
Sounds like the digital convergence unit got confused....
You may have to start all over again at default....
2) When converging a PTV, less is better ( adjustments) unless
you are positive adjustments will yield some improvement..
3) Info source = www.HitachiServiceUSA.com
