Hi
It is probably a blockage in the level pressure chamber which is either a part of the drain pump manifold or a seperate chamber attached to the bottom of the tub. Its easy to find just follow the small pressure hose from the top of the machine. If its part of the drain manifold its not so easy to clear unless you have a large sirringe to pump hot water down the hose to clear it.Remember to unplug the appliance from the power supply.
Also clean the chamber attached to the bottom part of the bucket and used a syringe to push hot water down the this plastic hose that runs to that unit.
also made sure that the clip holding the plastic hose at both ends are fited properly

If you know how to use a mains volt meter you can check if the solenoid that controls the water inlet is energised to start and the de-energised to stop the flow of water. If this operates as suggested the water level switch is probably ok as is the controller. That then leaves the valve itself - if brave - disconnect water and power, remove valve and disassemble. There is a tiny hole in rubber membrane inside valve. If this gets blocked it can open but cannot close. Usually it is a tiny piece of dirt that causes the problem.
In other way check the drain line for kinks or obstructions. Check the pump. Remove the hoses from the pump and use a flashlight to look into the suction port. Make sure nothing is clogging the pump, like the occasional stray piece of clothing, and check the pump impeller. Make sure there are no broken or missing blades and that the impeller will spin freely. If any blades are broken/missing or if you can't get the impeller to spin freely, the pump is defective. Hopefully it's just a clogged drain line, pump, or jammed impeller.

Use the video link referenced above to show how to access the components inside the cabinet.
Test the lid switch with a volt meter set for ohms. No reading is a bad switch. If switch is good, remove the drain pump attached to the motor and check for a garment or lint in the pump.

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. When the water has reached it's proper level, the hot water turns off, but the cold water keeps filling until the water overflows the basket

Try this. With the wash tub empty, start to fill with water. Without turning washer off, unplug the washer from wall.

If water filling stops (hot and cold), then you are looking at a bad timer assembly. Replacement isn't that hard, parts can be difficult to find though.

If water continues to fill, your valve body / solenoid assembly is likely full of lime-scale. Easily replaced.

Many people blame the program timer for this but although it is a possible cause, there are many more likely causes for this fault. The program will stick if the heater isn't working, if the thermostat fails, if it can't fill up with cold water for the rinses, if it can't empty the water etc. There are too many possible causes of this fault to be able to give anything other than rudimentary advice. However, the common causes of a washing machine sticking that can easily be fixed are filling and emptying problems.
Check that the cold water supply is available to the washing machine, which is a common cause for sticking on rinses. If the washing machine appears to stop mid-cycle and isn't filling with water on rinses then see Washing machine won't fill with water (or no water goes into washing machine) before calling an engineer. If the washing machine can't drain the water out then it will stick on the rinses, or it will abort with an error code. If you can see water still inside the washing machine then check the following advice Washing machine won't empty water

My frigidaire top loader fills with water at the beginning of the wash...then nothing. it just sits there full of water.

Hi, could be your timer motor, timer or water level switch, first push timer knob in and manually advance to wash or spin cycle (program) then pull knob, see if machine operates, let me know, then i can tell you exactly what's problem.also advance timer, to spin cycle (program) machine should pump out water, or you can lower drain hose into bucket and empty machine, you should empty machine and try again, let me know what happened, we can solved this together. good luck.

Problem with a indest wil143s

it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Stuck in spin

Hi!

If the Washer is stuck in spin then either the timer or a cold-water supply problem is causing this :
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance, then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water

Do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further clarification.
