I would first try the monitor on another computer to determine where the problem might be. See if you can get into the monitors On Screen Display. most of them are in color so if there is anything out of the ordinary try resetting the monitor to its default configuration. If the monitor is ok, I would next check the cable where it plugs in to the video card. After that go for the card itself. I have had this problem in the past but it turned out to be a problem with the monitor cable going from my PC to the KVM switch.

Several possibilities:

1. the video-cable between your computer and your monitor is loose (at one end) -- tighten it;

2. the video-cable is "kinked" and is not transmitting end-to-end -- replace it;

3. the video-adapter in your computer is failing to output 1 of the 3 "primary" colours -- buy a new video-adapter, and install it;

4. your computer monitor is faulty -- try connecting the monitor to a laptop computer, to see if it works correctly; if you still have the problem, you need to repair/replace your monitor.

The power went off when i was using my computer. it came back and it started their was a red blink and beeps what could be the problem?

If you had a power surge before it went off, and you were not on a UPS, your motherboard may have been fried, the hard drive may be failing, or just the OS or hard drive corrupted. You could try this. Pull the hard drive out, and use a USB Hard Drive Adapter to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive.
Then, you could try to do a Factory Restore on the computer, and if that works, copy your personal files back to your newly restored computer.

Hp compaq Presario CQ57 Notebook PC wireless button has a red light and wireless not working

Unplug the router for about 6 minutes. Don't just turn it off. Completely unplug it. Then plug it back in, with your computer on.

I have a Sony VGC-RC310G desktop computer. Two nights ago, I was downloading updates for windows, from the Microsoft website. I turn it off when i went to bed, and restarted the following morning, only...

So, your description said that you turned off the computer during software update process, that sounds not good at all. Updates need to run to completion, or major failure happens.

You did not mention the version of Windows that you are using, so help is limited.

BE aware that a system restore means all data will be overwritten and lost. I suggest that you extract all data before you do anything. remove the hard drive and hook it up to a good computer, via USB and get all of your files and settings.

The machine probably has the restore files on the D:\drive.

The Model # is HPRD12XC5. A red light went on next to the AC fan

The water pan in the bottom was probably full. Did you try to drain it? First uplug the machine from the outlet. There should be a little knob to unscrew in the lower back of the machine. Once you remove it, pull out the little black stopper and have a very shallow pan ready to collect any water. Once everything is drained, replace the stopper and the knob, plug it back into the outlet, and press the reset button. Turn the unit on and wait a couple of minutes for the compressor to start.

My mobile is dead

I just had this happen to me yesterday. I fought with my phone for about 3 hours removing the battery and trying to restart it. It would take about 5 minutes for it to finally boot and once it did the touch screen would not work. So I did a hard boot and within 5 minutes my phone was back to normal. I lost all my contacts but I just did a restore with the backup software. To do a hard boot hold down the red and green buttons on the front of the phone and push the reset button on the bottom of the phone with the stylus. The reset button is on the right side of the power/usb plug. As I said my phone was back to normal in just a few minutes.

Xp wont start on sony vaio v94vq

Try booting into safe mode completely. Then shut down completely. Unplug for a couple minutes and plug back in and see if it will boot normally. If not, then go back to safe mode and use a restore point in XP. If that does not work then either XP is corrupted or the hard drive is going bad. You can try restoring your system with the restore discs. NOTE: This will erase all data, pictures, letters, financial info, etc. you have saved.
If that does not work then you can try replacing the hard drive.
Hope this helps!

Hp disc drve

It's a little strange that the CD burner (I presume you're trying to burn a CD?) is drive F: it's normally D. Can you please open Windows Explorer (press the "Windows" key and E simultaneously) and give us a list of the drives you see in the left hand panel. You should see drives C, D,E and F (possibly other after F as well(. Can you also say what model the computer is, what operating system you are running (e.g. Windows XP) and which software you are using to try & burn the disc. Then we can try & figure out what's wrong :)
