Question about Marantz Audio Players & Recorders
If there is no display, and unit is completely dead with no power, then you may have a defective power board.
If there is no display, but unit is responsive, then it is a faulty LCD display, or the cable to LCD has slipped out from connector.
If the unit is not responding, the power led is on, and there is no display, then there is probably an internal fault on digital board. Not a minor fault, since the unit is not on protect mode.
You can try disconnecting everything, including speakers and power cord (first power cord).
Wait ten minutes and restart the unit.
If the CD player is still in the same condition, then it must be fixed by a technician. If you have technical training grab multimeter and service manual and start testing components, beginning with the power board.
To have it repaired call the service number listed on the Marantz user manual.
