Question about Televison & Video
It could be a leakage problem that is getting into the audio amplifier and the sound is coming out from the speakers. Or, it could be the high voltage generator that was disturbed during the move that caused it to create an acoustical output when expanding and contracting during the high voltage generation cycles.
Here is what you can do: Listen carefully. Does the sound go up and down with the volume control or does it remain constant. If it goes up and down, put your ear up to the speakers and verify the sound is coming from the speakers.
Likewise, if you don't think the sound is coming from the speakers, turn the sound level control to zero and listen to the set and try to determine form whence the sound IS coming. If from inside the set, near the back, then it may be the high voltage transformaer, changing the transformaer would solve your issue....
If you are very handy, you may be able to fix it your self, but only after it has been diagnosed as to exactly what is the cause.
If it is coming from the speakers, here is one idea: If the set has external audio outputs (most big screens do), then you can use an external amp and speakers and with the tone control turn down the high frequencies to reduce the high pitch sound.
If it is internal, sometimes you can remove the back cover and find the source of the sound and by changing the mounting or even adding some isolation to the source, slow down the transmission of sound. Sometimes a part maybe has worked loose and tightening up the mounting hardware improves the sound.
Since this ailment has come upon the set since it was moved, the idea of some physical disturbance to one of the acoustical generating components inside makes a lot of sense. Now, you just have to find out where it may be coming from and follow my steps to solve your issue...
